I really want to be able to place an SP trade on Guardian followed up by other trades elsewhere on the event once the initial SP trade has been successfully placed. However it seems you cannot place an SP trade using Guardian you can only place a normal trade and then turn unmatched into an SP when the market closes which is then too late to place my other trades. Is there any other way around this?

If your placing the bet you want to take SP on first you can trigger the 'Take SP on all unmatched bets' rule immediately after its placed.
Or use the 'Take SP on unmatched bets (price dependant)' rule to target specfic bets unmatched on selections

Thanks. My challenge is I want to place a confirmed SP bet there and then rather than wait until the market closes for it to move to SP. But I don't think you can do that?

james, at the OFF, any bets placed pre race and flagged as TAKE_SP will be part of the mix that gets placed at SP (afaik). Thus, if you place a back bet at 1000 odds for £100, it of course won't get matched until the millisecond after the race goes in play. You will then get matched at (as close as possible) to BSP.

that said, maybe i've misunderstood your requirement/intention :D

Thanks, I understand that. I'm keen to have a bet placed at SP and confirmed before the market closes. You can do this manually on BF but not automatically on BA. I'm looking at doing things a different way now.
