Just bought the last 20 cans of guinness from the local corner shop. Asked why so many? "for the little ole lady down the street"
FFS We are being TOLD to exercise restraint!! The reason it's the last 20 cans is because people like you are buying 20 cans at a time. We really are fucked when nobody can follow basic instructions and have this "I'm alright so fuck everyone else" attitude. Maybe an intensive care doctor might fancy a drink when (or if) they get home?

There's always the local Wetherspoons....(if they choose to take the risk)

Outrageous, 16 would be enough for me. ;) Anything less than that and it's hardly worth drinking, it's not exactly the strongest of drinks. After all, we're told not to buy more than you need. :)

All very amusing. Without people adhering to the govt advice we are heading for a catastrophe.
2 million deaths.
This ain't a joke.
Instead of looking witty online perhaps you should tell people to follow govt advice.
After all, we elected them.

Apart from most social media which is frantically copying fake news. Today I must have had a score 'a friend who had a friend in the cobra committee said' type messages. Yeah, right.

You can always rely on dim Tim Martin to say something completely stupid. Well he's not open tomorrow is he  That glorified landlord thought he understood economics and now he thinks he's an epidemiologist. What's he going to be tomorrow, deep sea diver, ballerina?

Sorry Euler, huge respect for you. But out and about I see people completely ignoring, social-distancing and hygiene advice.
I must ask people to follow the govt advice.
Help the vulnerable by your actions, help the nhs cope.
The curve if we do nothing is terrifying. Millions dying.
Get a flipping grip people!
Wash your hands.
Don't touch your face.
Do not visit Mum for Mothers Days.
Jesus flipping Christ!!

I can see why though. A packed betting office can contain a lot of the older age group, without any of the social distance measures in place. Also, takes away another reason for the over 60's to venture out.

With the recent news of pubs/clubs/restaurants to close, it makes it easier for the govt to introduce a curfew as and when required.

This has to be the greatest modern day social experiment or will become a modern day social study... we have got to the point where we check our last potential infection scenario, who we touched, who we kissed, who sneezed, who coughed.... wow, I think social behaviour is gonna change long term.
