If you look at deaths from C19 and measure from the first death in each country - italy surpassed 100 total deaths on day 13 as did the UK, Germany crossed it on day 15. If Germany has managed to slow it - it might not be by an amount of significance in the race to not have the medical service overwhelmed.
King Sharim's rice problem is still the same problem even if you only manage to take a few squares off the chessboard.

You might have something - with an extended food shortage they might be able to combine their death by obesity and death by C19 figures to break even.ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Tue Mar 24, 2020 5:13 pmIs that 6ft face to face or belly to belly? It's incredible how lax people are about tens of thousands of deaths! It's only when their own elderly relatives fall victim that they'll realise how serious this is.
I'd like to believe the boost on hair clippers would be recycled into food production and services for the vulnerable.
Somehow I don't think that will happen. Co-op max 2 items, Tesco max 3 items. Thats a massive difference.
I have never wanted so much to contract a virus. I could get it, recover and get out there and help.
But it's a dilemma at 58 I can't guarantee I won't place a burden on a creaking health system.

I volunteered for the whole of the nineties and would like to help out now, but without transport, I'd be limited to offering telephone support, which I'm a bit apprehensive about.

Cheers.
I was looking for an option a few days ago but was unable to find anything relevant.
