Fingers crossed for him.

Stock market getting busy. If Boris can get through, along with better CV19 news, there could be steeper rise very quickly.

Seen people talking about we've seen the bottom already, my personal opinion is that i dont have a scooby doo. I'll be more optimistic in 21 days - i think the picture will be very clear by then.

Not surprised as home invasions and looting will be on the increase in small towns in the mid west. Some people would have to wait upto 2 hours for the police to turn up. In such situations you need to be able to protect your home, yourself and family by any means necessary.

... and thankfully buying guns in the UK is rather difficult. And those that are out there are used by criminal on criminal, cos thats were the money is. The US has a completely different culture, an obsession with 'the right to bear arms' and has the highest rate of gun crime in the developed world. Funny that! (Well not funny really).

I once got talking to a British expat gun seller at a gun show in Florida who defended gun ownership by saying: "A gun owner is a citizen; a non gun owner is a subject."

I think there is a romantic image of a 'gun owner'. A straight up guy, family man, hard-working. Highly protective of his family. The reality is so different. If you have the ludicrous availability of weapons that the US has, lethal force is widely available at the twitch of a finger. Its utter nonsense to suggest owning a gun is 'protection'. If some reprobate wants to use a gun to rob you, he isn't going to announce it and give you time to find, draw and cock your gun.

I am in the UK and have legally held firearms for target / deer shooting. Most of the public and politicians would go nuts if they saw what people got out of their cars at Bisley. Its not difficult to legally get one, you just need to show good reason, not been sentenced to >= 3 years in prison, not suicidal or considered a danger to yourself or the public. Shotguns are even easier as you dont need to show good reason as such. "What do you want it for ?, clay pigeon shooting, no problem"

What you cant get is semi-auto (unless its .22 only or shotgun) and apparently everyone thinks handguns are banned. Well, thats not true, you can have one for human despatch of an animal and can still get one in NI or Isle of Man as long as you are a member of an approved gun club.

These will give you an idea of whay some people in the UK legally have at their homes:

And do people think this one is semi-auto or not, technically its not but as you will see it looks very much like it is but there was a loop hole and work around:
