Personally, the adapting since 21st March has now moved to "er..... I don't like this very much". But i guess there are frontliners and vulnerable people who are seriously more cheesed off than me.

Search 'screws' on Argos and you get anything with the word screw in it, including cork-screws, lightbulbs, etc.

Wafer headed screws. I've got bugle screws so it's not really important. Screwfix sells them in 1000 packs.

I've never in my whole life heard them called that and I've done more than my fair share or woodworking and mechanicing, those are countersunk and pan head aka button head. And that graphic shows bolts not screws, screws are tapered and are self fixing while bolts are straight and need a threaded hole or nut. Actually looking up "wafer head" they can be countersunk too but have a bearing surface like a panhead. https://www.fastenersuperstore.com/fast ... ead-styles. I've never heard of them until I looked at screwfix.com but just assumed they must be known terms. 'Countersunk' is a term I'm familiar with but didn't know the term for the flat-headed screws.

I've had an education too fact checking and googling. Next you'll have the problem of which of a dozen apparently identical cross head screwdrivers actually fits and which just chews the head up.

Finally found some on Amazon. Not sure if round-headed screws is an appropriate name - all screws are round!

Yes, Phillips screw heads irritate me, especially when removing them. Usually have to get the drill out to drill through the heads.

I really feel for people in tower blocks or with no garden space, it really has become a blessing to look after the garden.

ditto -never done so much in such a short space of time. everything from deep weeding to building *new stuff*. as you say, must be tough if in a confined space with 2-3 kids tearing around and no prospect of getting out for the day.

It's a good time to snap up some cheap memorablilia and souveneirs for sporting events that aren't going to happen. I'm putting a few bits and pieces in a box alongside my 'Year 2k' memorabilia box.
