... i guess in general us Brits seem to have this burning desire to always be right, once proven wrong we will not under any circumstances change our opinion.... even when we know the other person is right we wont.
I'm met countless people like that, and dare I say it, I was very much like that as a teenager. Especially when giving my dad directions - it was always the map that was wrong. ;) But I'm pretty sure it's not a British thing, people are idiots, they can't all be on these islands. :)

I was this way too, i noticed it more with my social media activity... i used to stay in debates for far too long giving my opinion on something I had no idea about. I think me noticing this and making the effort to change has to go down to my trading journey & accepting that I needed to listen, the hard part at first was to who.

On a positive note, i've become some what used to the likes of yourself & Derek, I know that there is usally constructive advice from yourself & others too, I also enjoy the odd bit of mickey taking too which usually is provided in some form of meme
Sorry to disappoint James but I think the memes and the jokes are for me and not others, maybe as a coping mechanism as otherwise it's likely I'd get fed up with the negativity or bored etc, I can guarantee that nobody enjoys it more than me :D I'm actually often surprised that people even know wtf I'm on about half the time, but I don't really see it as my problem.

I was like this too, but this was before I made my first million :) Since I'm kind of a big deal now I have cast aside my childish ways, and don't even have the time to interact with the common riffraff.

Good post Kai, maybe the best of the year so far but you have thrown a few darts on here too ;) specifically on the posting of results screenshots. Your English is excellent for a non native, are you using an app like Grammarly or something :?:

I hope not, I was just appealing for people to try and not be their worst selves, at least during this period, not just for the sake of being nice but for ruining potential collabs and so on (see Archery dogs thread as a good example of what even the basic collab can do), since the satisfaction of winning a pointless argument is well, pointless. I'm not perfect but I don't really actively go around looking to pick fights and poke holes in people's posts, it would be very easy to do that as there's a lot of seemingly easy targets.

Thanks but no, I consider English to be my native language as well since I've been typing and speaking it nearly daily for 15-20 years, so as a result my accent almost got Americanized. You can use stuff like Duolingo or Rosetta Stone to learn new languages in a matter of weeks, their methods are great. I enjoy expressing myself in English because it's a much richer language than my own and not as restrictive. But I'm sort of good with languages and speak a few, 10 years of German during school and I can understand Portuguese at least.

Btw, not trying to be nice for the sake of it and this probably belongs in a PM instead, but some of your cricket posts that I randomly saw by accident helped highlight a good number of opportunities out there. A sport I know nothing about, but it would suit a good chunk of my skill set and lifestyle too, so thanks very much for randomly sharing it, I'm sure I wouldn't even look at it on my own. I honestly can't wait to get stuck into this market, it's not on my immediate to-do list but I am very much hyped about it.

Never done PM on here and want it to stay that way, like to have everything I do seen by all-comers, turned that feature off. :D

I'll have to take a look. Before I went to Spain ten years ago I borrowed a Spanish course off a mate, but in the end I just learnt two words, hola and gracias. Couldn't even remember how to order a beer because it was several words. I ended up saying "Hola, a pint of lager please".

My dad's mate's ONLY snippet of Spanish he has ever learned became a really memorable childhood moment for me. We'd go to a different restaurant every night on holiday and the first thing he would do is sit down and say, in a very broad black-country accent "Dos cerveza por favor ... cheers mate"

Before secondary school I was already cultured enough to order two beers abroad and I don't even drink.

What is the flipping point of this survey???

They said they want me to share my views but it appears they're either giving me a quiz or asking for my advice about their own company. :x

You want to try vising the HMRC site for reason, seems you can't do anything lately without being asked to complete a survey upon exit.

I get they are trying to get feedback with the current high demand all dept will be getting but you'd think they'd limit how many times they ask the same person

I went a bit further than that. I was hoping for the question: describe in no more than 3000 words how you feel about penny shavers? ;)

My Mrs was outside today when the neighbour came back with his shopping, he was proud as punch that the school had sent him £60 in food vouchers.... he said the school phoned to ask if he was doing ok & he had told them he was struggling with little money & food. This has pissed me off more than anything has in a long time.... I'm fucked off with smelling him burn through an endless supply of weed and what I assume is his dealer turning up every day BUT he needs to be given food vouchers. How about just stop smoking endless qtys of trees. Meanwhile, I'll take a pay cut & actually go to work and still have to feed myself & my family. I should of just sat on my arse for the last 20 years, I would have had it all given to me and nothing would of changed for me too much now, just some extra vouchers.

And he still owes me £25 quid... I've already been waiting the best part of 12 months for him to pay it back (I wasnt holding my breath) but now I know for certain i wont be receiving his outstanding balance. I guess I can sleep at night knowing I gave him some electricity vouchers. I'm done for today, I'm losing it over my neighbour.
