An Italian gentleman who worked in a pizza shop I visited many years ago used to tell me, "You fook the customer, the customer fook you!".

Sadly, whilst this may apply to pizza shops, I'm not sure it applies to near monopolies like Betfair...

You never get this sort of crap from futures exchanges. Any serious operation would have a proper backup system where a switch can be flicked and everything still works. The must have loads of single points of failure. I thought this sort of stuff was in past for Betfair, obviously not. 'spending too much time monitoring the share price, and not enough on the business itself.

Who in their right mind 'plans' infrastructure maintenance on their busiest day of the week. Sheer lunacy if you ask me.

When Betangel can't connect via the API, does it attempt to connect via the Website? If so, does it revert back t the API automatically when it becomes available??

Completely agree with you Freddy. I always have BD up and running.

Think Le Tiss is stuck with the £600 liability. Fingers crossed for him.....

All modes back on line now it seems, for how long is anybodies guess. Be careful.
