Been able to front run some big orders at the weaker meets this week on the lay side, I don't often see that
Front running means having knowledge of an order before it hits the market and getting there first. Don't think that's what you were doing.
You're right, I hear that phrase quite a bit here but frankly don't know quite what they mean. Front running was big in the days liquidity exchanges started up and you could trace orders arriving at the key exchanges, and then front run the pool before the unmatched order arrived there having failed to match on the main exchanges. Or even just flash trading, where you get a tip-off from the network before an order even gets to an exchange, and you get yours there first. Front running in sports just seems to be being prepared to take a slightly worse price than someone who's determined to get filled...presumably smarter money and you hope it's still a smart move minus a tick, like free riding.

What's the story eightbo? Enligten us.
hmm, interesting. that's what i've heard it called by some pro futures traders. Do let me know if there's a more appropriate term and I can upgrade my vocab. I'm referring to jumping in front of someone else's order at a worse price. Typically doing this in anticipation of them dragging the order as they try to get filled. Doing this blindly in all mkts won't work ofc. Usually, i'll start doing this if there's been evidence in previous few markets of dragging big orders. Occasionally will do the same if someones iceberg orders are quite readable but I don't see that as much. Time left til start of race can be a key variable on this one, even sets up as a nice TakeSP play (on your exit) every now and then if you can be bothered checking for that each time

Off topic but I've loaded the non-NSW races into Guardian tomorrow and found some of the meetings on Racenet, but I can't find the meetings for:

Shep(Aus)
Tera(Aus)

Would be good if someone could point out where I could find form for the horses at these meetings, please?

Many thanks,

Iambic

Racenet doesn't cover harness racing. https://www.racingandsports.com/ does though.

The sort of person who perhaps scaled up there back to lay bot after being sucessful on $2 stakes, comes home tonight, checks in, switches off the computer, walks out the door and :(

First loss of the morning at Morph. I can never get on there.
There is a special promotion for some Australia betfair users today to bet at morphetville. That might help morphetville, but generally I do poorly there, commission generation only :?
There were incredible bonuses today: 100% on South Australia and, separately, 20% on all markets. Only for $200/$300 but I'd like this to continue. An extra $500 per week would be much appreciated.
They sent it to me by accident. Now they dont want to pay. Urgh.
