BBC and 'good journalism' in the same sentence, seems to have become something of an oxymoron, of late.

It's an old problem in manufacturing or police investigations. When you're determined to build or find something quickly you skip on the quality control checks.

With Trump toning down, going grey and admitting he doesn't know who will be in office next year, and Biden backable at 1.06 for £500K, I'm wondering if somebody by now has mortgaged his house and chucked it onto the market.

"Thousands of Trump supporters march to falsely claim he won US election"

https://www.stuff.co.nz/world/americas/ ... s-election

"On a day when the president's supporters touted a vast array of falsehoods, his spokeswoman, Kayleigh McEnany, offered perhaps the most ludicrous.

"More than one MILLION marchers for President @realDonaldTrump descend on the swamp in support," she tweeted, exaggerating the crowd size by a factor of about 200."

In fact, only 5 000 tops showed up

"As his most ardent fans remained in Washington to fight for what many of them considered to be among the most important causes of their lifetimes, the president headed to Trump National in the Virginia suburbs for a round of golf."

Trump is talking about a media empire when he leaves, but who in their right mind would be interested in listening to his continued ranting and raving?

I think he drove past on his way home but wasn't so keen on getting out of The Beast and making a speech. When you've got a million lunatics fighting your cause, why not play golf and leave it to them, with a little wave to inspire and feed them.

So sad that the NYT a once a great news institution has reduced itself to an anti trump pamphlet. Breathlessly rabbiting on about the possibility of a “coup” and other nonsense.

This is the same media organisation that published articles in the wake of the 2016 election encouraging the electoral college to ignore the results of the 2016 election and choose someone other than Trump. Others like Martin Sheen (and a bunch of b grade actors who like to talk down to deplorable) took to YouTube begging the electoral college to overturn the 2016 election result and choose someone else.

The hypocrisy, the cant. Maybe it’s not sad, it’s funny - the left never accepted the election of Trump and waged open hatred from 2016 and now the faux outrage that Trump lamely (and despondently) claims fraud and feigns a lack of acceptance of the result. If only those academics and news media that are now outraged had one iota of credibility.
Well said gazuty but I'm afraid it will fall on deaf ears. Since when has moral logic deterred the LL's from their mantra of "do as we say, not as we do"?

Might be why Biden still 1.06 as the trader tries to release funds. Apparently, one Betfair account has a 100m swing.

I imagine there a few people hedging but I think people are waiting for the Georgia recount/audit, if there are any issues/or not then the price will react accordingly imo.

Trump says "He (Briden) won because the Election was Rigged".
Quite unbelievable that he has now accepted defeat, but doesn't have the good grace to go with dignity.
I guess we should all step back and realise this man isn't a politician. He can't weigh the arguments and pro's and con's of every word he utters.
He's a bulldozer.

I don’t think he or anybody else agreed he was politician. Isn’t that how he won in the first place as allot of people don’t like your run of the mill politicians. And don’t forget 70 million voted for him. That’s why the USA is split down the middle.

That's not what his Twitter page says.

Can anyone with a Twitter account reply and abuse him or will they get blocked?

It's a bit late now but I'd liked to have joined in the abuse. :)

You might get reported and the tweet removed.

I sent him a tweet congratulating him on his re-election when the first set of results came. (Florida win). I posted the Betfair odds when he was @1.45.

I sort of feel responsible for the whole sordid affair there-after....
