You should get the Bill Gates vaccine, alexmr2.

Once you’ve had it, you don’t even need BetAngel to connect to excel. It’s all done with your mind. Might help with your trading, it’s definitely helped me.

Still on the forum, but is a pretty rare visitor these days!

Interesting comments, and I thank you for your feedback. I'm not sure I've ever thought of myself that way. :)

Is he still around then? I thought Jeff had gone!

I used to rib him terribly, but warmed to him greatly towards the end

He is a very complicated individual. I'm not sure he even fully knows himself, but he offered a great deal to the forum, even if he wasn't a good trader

Such a shame, really hope it wasn't because of the vaccine.

I remember when the pandemic/epidemic started and we had all the videos of people on ventilaters telling us how serious it was, now we get it all over again this time with the vaccine.

I really hope that this is just bs but if I was planning on having the vaccine I'd be thinking twice now, nobody really knows what side effects it can have on people, how it reacts with pre existing medications that people are on. The back of the queue is probably the safest place to be as horrible as that may be.

You need to have a Facebook account to see that. Given the number of people who have received the vaccine I wouldn't let one unexplained death put me off. Sadly, some idiots will think she died after Bill Gates flicked a switch on his control panel!

Hi Le Tiss

I'm alive, not sure about well!

Seriously, though, things are going good overall. I've recently graduated with an MSc in Software Development, so I'll be putting my newly acquired programming skills to use in a further attempt to solve the Betfair puzzle, this time from a purely quant angle. Hopefully I'll have more joy this time.

No worries re. the comments. You speak your mind, and I like that. I know where I am with people like that. :)

Keep in touch - feel free to drop me a message (I'd drop you a message, but you have blocked messages!).

Cheers

Jeff

So even though there's been no autopsy you've stuck it down the covid jab , no wonder the statistics of betting elude you , James

Im not sure if you're mentally challenged but me saying I really hope it wasn't because of the vaccine isn't putting it down to the covid jab... if I had of said that then I could understand your response. Jesus christ, some people.

2.4million vaccines now been given across the UK

Dec 8th till 3rd Jan there was 1.3million

Means there's been 1.1million in last week so that 2million target is looking good with half that being achieved before the mass centres get going this week

I passed a vaccination centre the other day and there looked to be about 75 cars parked up and traffic flowing in and out so I would expect it won't take long to get it to everyone who needs it.

I've also heard that because it's mainly over 80s at the minute getting it that it's slowing the process down which is to be expected (walking slow, getting jumpers up etc) so when the over 50s start getting it they'll be in and out and the process will be a lot quicker.

I would say there's some noise because the market doesn't move in a straight line. Spikes are to be expected every now and then but it always returns to the moving average in the long-term. if this was a trade I'm sure no one would get stopped out by 2020.

If BSP is efficient to within a couple of % in the long-term, then a couple of percent more than average result one year isn't that outlandish right? If locking down is logical then most countries should have locked down around 33% of the last 3 decades going by the figures.

I imagine all other countries are similar regardless of whether there were restrictions or not, there seems to be a lot of scientific papers which show a weak correlation between restrictions and deaths that the mainstream media refuse to acknowledge exists or discuss.

Have you thought about producing some charts or doing research to prove that smoking 40 cigarettes a day or being severely obese doesn't reduce your life expectancy?

Your stats are far too basic. You need a breakdown of what people died of to work out the deaths caused by Covid-19.

That's positive stuff. It's a massive project. I looked at the possibilty of helping, but it seems you need some kind of heathcare experience or be a 'people person', which makes perfect sense. A steady hand and engaging personality are key to being a vaccinator. I don't qualify but would encourage anyone that does, go for it. We need you!

You can't drive 5 miles to a park but it's okay to walk or cycle that far, even though while walking you may pass by many people!
