Today's Cricket
Huge loss, after having big equity.
5 days work and a massive hole in the pocket - but wouldn't have changed much.
Did think the pitch would have had more spice on day 5 - 5 more overs of Pant etc .. but he played awesome as it was.
Onto the next one.

You and me both! But my "equity" was only $100. Still, I hate squandering greens. I was thoroughly disappointed in Australia's fielding. 4 dropped catches from memory. No excuses for the Aussies!
Pant was still in at that stage so the win was still on the cards. My theory was that the way Pant was batting it was just a matter of time until a wicket fell so I planned an exit at that point and got lucky that he had a brain fade. I can't say I wasn't nervous watching my green diminish but held out my emotions.
Bad luck to everyone that got caught out, it was one hell of a performance by the Indians

Thunders v Sixers tonight - got stung by the reduced overs rule. Didn't realise til the price blew right out. It's a bit silly reducing overs without also reducing the number of wickets in hand. The team batting second can just slog away with no concern.
Pretty happy with my trading though, took the red after realising instead of hanging on hoping things would turn around, then proceeded to recover half my losses. Also, first time i've backed a team at 1.2, pretty easy decision given they still got the full 10 wickets to use.

On a similar strategy for AUS game - the weather looks pretty bad later in the week so really not sure about the draw price... The learning continues )
Hard to tell what the weather is going to do. The forecast has improved the past few days and apparently this time of year in Brisbane can be very hit and miss. You could either get a big storm or nothing at all.sionascaig wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 11:58 pmOn a similar strategy for AUS game - the weather looks pretty bad later in the week so really not sure about the draw price...
