Took my biggest loss in years today
Account crippling & soul destroying kind of loss after getting hijacked so fast.
Froze up like normal couldn't click hedge button even with all the right self-talk happening internally.

I wanted to cry, still do. I know it's all my fault and that hurts me even more.
I can't trade pre-race anymore I can't keep hurting myself like this
Sorry to hear that mate.
+1. Take a break eightbo, catch up on things you haven't had time for. Then try and get back to basics, or get back to what you were doing when successful.

An old piece of CBT advice I was given, when you've had a stressful event, is to ask yourself, will it matter in a week's/month's/year's time? It's surprising how quickly in trading a heavy loss is forgotten about.

Sorry to hear that 8

Its amazing how many times you can think you've finally cracked it only for something to come and bite you on the arse.

I know somebody like you who pays a lot of attention to the details will know what you need to do and what you need to stop doing so hopefully with a little distance between you and the loss you can come back stronger.

Get well soon eightbo and return stronger than before.
Thanks for the kind words guys.  Yeah needed a lengthy break after that one.

Decided to transition to 100% automation this year in sports markets now & manually swing trading crypto/financials (A few trades a week, longer time frames) on the side.  Haven't worked on much automation this month but the extra time I have each day is SO GOOD compared to typical day in BF markets trading manually.  Honestly felt like complete shit for a couple weeks after hiding out in my room but it's allowed me to steer to a better path so it's all good (one I feel confident is the right move for me).

Hoping good things come all your way too this new yr.

I've done ok but should have done a lot better.

I've missed out on 2 big moves because I forgot to turn off global settings!

Schoolboy error! :x

I threw away a few quid yesterday when I accidentally pressed the greenup button, next door to the close/green P/L column button. Fortunately you can rearrange the buttons on BA.

I keep doing that with the Sky remote, hitting the record button instead of the mute button!

Not something you'd want to say out loud in a crowded pub!
