Excellent work on the all new v1.55 BA and Dallas.

The beauty of BA is that you can pretty much do everything you can think of in terms of layout and settings - the possible layouts and settings are limited only by the user!

In some markets there are too many active selections to use the ladder screen which is where the one-click screen is the one to use.

However, the present 'Trade Profit P & L' column should be updated with additional bet closure options to bring it in line with the ladder options.

The 'Trade Profit P & L' column presently offers bet closure on individual selections at current odds OR on all selections with greening at current odds when the 'Green' box is checked meaning it is missing out important bet closure options available on the ladder.

What I'd like to suggest for the next BA version update is entirely possible by creating the custom columns that Dallas has expertly shown in the following post:

"Bet Angel - Tips and tricks : Reverse Greening & Greening at Custom Reverse Prices on One-Click Screen"
viewtopic.php?f=61&t=21159

...but these simple suggestions are so much part of the integral BA bet closure features they shouldn't need a custom column - a couple of standard default columns would suffice - one column for current odds (already exists) and a new column for reverse odds each column to have four options in a drop-down list: 'Close', 'Close All', 'Green' or 'Green All'.

First suggestion:
The 'Trade Profit P & L' column to be renamed 'Trade Profit P & L (current odds)' and the 'Green' check-box to be replaced by a drop-down 4 option list offering of 'Close', 'Close All', 'Green' or 'Green All' allowing the bet closure of the individual or all selections at current odds and the bet closure with greening of individual or all selections at current odds (subject to liquidity). Whichever option visible in the drop-down list being the selected bet closure option, default being 'Close'.

Second suggestion:
The 'Trade Profit P & L' (current odds) column to be duplicated with all 4 drop-down options but be named 'Trade Profit P & L (reverse odds)' and thus offering bet closure at reverse odds rather than current odds. Whichever option visible in the drop-down list being the selected bet closure option, default being 'Close'.

For more information and to see the benefits of 'reverse greening', please see Dallas's following post for a detailed explanation:
viewtopic.php?f=47&t=14200

Once implemented, both the 'Trade Profit P & L (current odds)' and 'Trade Profit P & L (reverse odds)' columns could be viewed at the same time on the one-click screen by selecting them both from the columns to view window as shown in Dallas's tips and tricks post.

--------

As previously said, these additional bet closure features are already possible to create by creating custom columns, but custom columns should really be to create non-standard columns such as the +10 ticks bet closure column that Dallas expertly created in the tips and tricks post - both these suggestions are simply to allow the user to close bets of individual or all selections at current odds or reverse odds and the bet closure with greening of individual or all selections at current odds or reverse odds.

I don't think these additions are difficult to add to BA as the vast majority of the code already exists in BA, so if anyone else would also like these updates/additions added to a future BA version, please add +1 to this thread. Thank you.

Another great use of these Trade Closure P & L (current odds) and Trade Closure P & L (reverse odds) columns would be when trading first and second rounds of golf tournaments - the Fedex St. Jude Invitational is currently on this evening and there are 78 selections! In the Barracuda Championship there are 132 players!

The TV pictures suddenly move to a player - does he make an eagle or lose his ball in the water? Much easier to use the one-click screen rather then the ladder to find the player, back/lay depending on whether an eagle or in the water, then close the position using the suggested Trade Closure P & L (reverse odds) column with or without greening.

just repeating/adding to this Trade Profit P&L Closure/Greening suggestion:

On the One-click screen there is currently a column that is 'Trade profit' (trade closure P & L) but what that offers is individual selections to be closed at the best current odds but when the green box is checked all selections to be greened at best current odds. An update I'd really like is two separate Trade Closure columns available for display in separate columns - one column at best available current price and one column at best available reverse price, each with a drop-down offering the following four closure options:

Trade Profit - Current Odds: (to replace the current 'Trade profit' (trade closure P & L) column)

You can pretty easily do all of the above on the ladder screen, but in markets where there are more than 18 selections (which was a previous suggestion of mine that was incorportated into the ladder, as were the the 3 possible rows to display and the even earlier 12 ladder selection options) it's really necessary in-play to be using the one-click screen.

1) 'close' (individual selection at best available current odds)
2) 'close all' (selections at best available current odds)
3) 'green' (individual selection at best available current odds)
4) 'green all' (selections at best available current odds)

Trade Profit - Reverse Odds:
1) 'close' (individual selection at best available reverse odds)
2) 'close all' (selections at best available reverse odds)
3) 'green' (individual selection at best available reverse odds)
4) 'green all' (selections at best available reverse odds)

It should only take a few minutes to create each of the above columns with the four options as all of the information is readily available - change the Green check box for a drop-down box to choose from the four options, then duplicate the current odds column column and change for reverse market prices.

Even better still would be the ability to choose from any of the above 8 possible closure/greening options via a drop-down in each of perhaps two columns as sometimes you might wish to see/click the P&L from the same current odds or reverse odds columns. However, that said I understand some new users might find those choices confusing, though once they one selection, all selections, current odds, reverse odds and greening they should really understand. An alternative would be for all 8 of those closure/greening columns to be offered options in the column display editor, therefore without any need for a drop-down - in that way anyone who displays one of the 8 columns in the editor should know precisely what it is for and what effect it will have on their book:

1) 'close at current odds' (close individual selection at best available current odds)
2) 'close all at current odds' (close all selections at best available current odds)
3) 'green at current odds' (green individual selection at best available current odds)
4) 'green all at current odds' (green all selections at best available current odds)
5) 'close at reverse odds' (close individual selection at best available reverse odds)
6) 'close all at reverse odds' (close all selections at best available reverse odds)
7) 'green at reverse odds' (green individual selection at best available reverse odds)
8) 'green all at reverse odds' (green all selections at best available reverse odds)

I know I would find this most useful and I'm sure others would too. If you've any alternative suggestions to display this info then do please say.

Dallas has shown all 8 of these closure/greening columns in his excellent thread:

...and how wonderful those greening columns look!

The beauty of these multiple columns is that they quickly shows the different positions you can achieve by using the different closure/greening methods - I like them a lot! :D
