RANT CORNER
FFS, I had a list box that was mysteriously lowering the case of the first character of each item. So I created a function to subtract 32 from the first character code and now it's started behaving properly!

I don't even know why it's got a pneumatic tyre, stupid idea. I actually bought a solid wheel for it but the b*$%£$d didn't fit.
btw an idea for anyone with elderly relatives/neighbours...my old ma took a dive out of her backdoor a while ago onto concrete, so I've laid a load of those thick rubber slabs down like they use in playgrounds. I can't stop her falling but it might help her bounce tbh being old looks grim, I'm going to carry on smoking and miss out that bit.

Looking at my own mother I'm thinking the same as you. I don't smoke though so I plan on moving to Colombia when I turn 50 and getting shagged to death!

Two available checkouts at B&M, one had a customer with a mountain of goods in his trolley, the other a woman who was paying with her debit card, so I made the obvious choice. A few minutes later the other guy and the woman behind him had been served while the silly cow in front of me was still piss-arsing about with her debit card, before paying in cash.

Sounds like a scene from Spinal Tap. Most people's toasters go up to 5.......
In a similar vein I got some new speakers and they have a lower impedance than my old ones, now my amp is a full vol at about 25% on the vol dial. And I don't think I've ever had my TV over 40%.
Aaaand ... Wheelbarrow tyre puncture fixed, freshly greased axel AND pimped with a chrome valve cap I found on the ground at the petrol station, and it's sunny. Winning at life today.
How about the halfwit in front of me at Tescos. Attempting to pay by phone, but had forgotten her password. So I stood, fuming, while she reset her password. Fecking just get your credit card out. Since Spain went off our radar we've been considering Latin America (learning the language so might as well use it). If you look beyond the preconceptions then Columbia is actually a serious contender. All counties have no go areas but good ones too. Medallin is nice. Make it happen Pat, rot in a nursing home or go out like a Don in a hail of bullets? I figure the grand kids would rather have a story to tell than a burden to deal with.Trader Pat wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 3:53 pmI plan on moving to Colombia when I turn 50 and getting shagged to death!
