Does anyone know why a strip of about 6 inch of one of my screens would suddenly just black out. One strip from top to bottom on the left side of my chart screen has gone black.

I have a similar intermittent problem. The right side of the screen becomes unavailable. Solution is to change the screen resolution, apply. Then change it back. Hope that works for you. Don't know what causes it. Annoying. The available screen is exactly the same size my windows 10 mail, so I suspect rubbish programming by MS or conflict with another software I've got going at the time.

Thanks greenmark, i'll give that a whirl at the end of the day. I dare not mess with it half way through.

Ironically though, it was a book about voodoo that helped me most.
Penny shavers used to make my blood boil. I wish I thought of having a voodoo doll on my trading desk to relieve the stress. :)

The best posts are in the psychology section. There are some good book recommendations that can help you change your mindset, which is the single most important thing.

I never really saw any positive results until I started to change my psyche. Ironically though, it was a book about voodoo that helped me most. That’s what helped me gain the upper hand in my fight against the markets. I used to struggle badly, though now I’m giving the markets an inverted shoulder breaker on a daily basis.
I'm curious, what was the book?

A beginners guide to voodoo by issendai bechou. Reading that and also trading in the zone by mark Douglas helped everything finally fall into place. Plus a lot of strength training, healthy eating, cardio exercise and supplements. I also started painting my face which seemed to help too.
You really are the ultimate warrior.

Before this newbie thread gets derailed further, Papa Shango was a voodoo themed professional wrestler, this might shed some light on the trolling attempts from the seemingly new poster, I enjoyed watching a bit of wrestling in my VERY early teens (Kevin Nash and Wolfpack 💖).

Seeing as my Covid self-isolation period has fully ended I don't really have a good excuse anymore to hang around the office water cooler that much, as much as I like the people on here :)

And hate to be the party pooper here but it really isn't cool messing about in newbie threads and recommending voodoo books etc, welcome and good luck to OP 😇

How does perfectly good code suddenly stop working when you haven't even amended it?

Just one message to take this thread into a siding rather than a full on derailment :)

Maybe there should be a thread dedicated to voodoo? We could learn how to make dolls of each other and have at it!

I was a fan of wrestling too Kai, I was a little Hulkamaniac, even sent him a get well card when The Earthquake broke his ribs. About a month after that I discovered girls and thankfully my interest in pro wrestling disappeared for good.

Probably a good thing, you could of ended up a 41 year old virgin (like in that film directed by Craig Moss) & spend your time painting your face practicing your moves.

I was thinking which markets are the best for newbies to start exploring the world of trading. I may even suggest greyhound markets with £2 stakes even accounting for the whipsaws galore you will experience.

Wasn't your mistake Emmson, the admins moved your post to this thread by accident, along with the rest.
