Hope the Premier League are taking notes...
These Euro's are showing how VAR should be used

Battle brewing between UEFA and the UK Govt
UEFA want 75% capacity in the SF's and Final and up to 2500 VIP's to be able to enter and leave within a 24hr period with no quarantine etc
Or
They will move the fixtures to Budapest who are allowing 60'000+ fans to attend with no restrictions

The more I see of UEFA the less I like them.
"Euro 2020: Uefa warns teams could be fined if they move drinks at news conferences".
Its not the players at fault. Its UEFA allowing naked product placement, front and centre in press conferences. Sponsorship is a good way of funding the spectacle. But, what next? A flipping Big Mac and large fries sitting there steaming in front of Harry Kane?

I've no problem with it, the sponsors are funding the spectacle as you've just said. As long as they don't start introducing big mac's and a coke as the half time meal who cares?
I have more of a problem with Ronaldo for moving the bottles. On the one hand its either massively petty or massively hypocritical of him, because he was once sponsored by Pepsi and Coca Cola so you could make an argument for both. On the other hand Ronaldo and his team mates are on nice win bonuses for these International tournaments and where does the money come from to pay those bonuses? The sponsors of course.
Maybe I'm doing him a disservice though.. maybe he shorted Coca-Cola before he sat down for the presser? If so.. genius!
And its struck me since that there's no such thing as bad publicity. So, perhaps it's Ronaldo et al deliberately drawing attention to the product (kerching!). Then UEFA wade in. Nett result lots of publicity.Trader Pat wrote: ↑Fri Jun 18, 2021 5:19 pmgreenmark wrote: ↑Fri Jun 18, 2021 4:06 pmThe more I see of UEFA the less I like them.

All the same I don't like seeing product placement like that.
Perhaps next a press conference on the bonnet of an Audi or Chevrolet? I jest..... I think.
