Anyone who want's to relive the 1966 final, Channel4 are showing the full match in colour starting at 17:40 tonight
Can watch all England matches from 1966 here : https://footballia.net/matches/england-germany

Nice website that has a ton of matches from all sorts of competitions going back 70 years, even stuff like a 1953 friendly between England and Hungary, ridiculous. Simple email signup.

Cheers, i'll take a look at that later

At the start of this program its just said it's taken a team over people nearly 12months to convert all 200'000+ frames of the match into full colour

It does look good too, even when showing close ups of the fans in Wembley :)

Thanks. Enjoyed watching the whole game.

Main take was that substitutes weren't allowed to be used in that World Cup. A lot of the players were literally out on their feet.

I believe in the league, around that time, only one substitute was allowed and that was only for an injured player.

Also, the West Ham trio of Geoff Hurst/Martin Peters/Bobby Moore were key throughout, assists and goals scored.

As for the idea of having Baddiel & Skinner perform Football's Coming Home at Wembley BEFORE the final I'm glad UEFA squashed that ridiculous idea.

I sense Extra Time and a Kane penalty...where have I seen that before?

But this time, on a Sunday..."Jesus Saves, but Kane scores on the rebound."
