Yep - all good and I’m vaccinated
Australian racing
Possibly lockdown influence, Melbourne has just started its 5 day lockdown. Syndey's started three weeks ago. So Australia's two biggest cities have nothing else to do on a Saturday than sit at home and gamble (or read forum pages and watch Harry's Garage). I'm sure it is a factor in increaed volume.
Chalk and cheese between the Melbourne tracks (Flemington, Caulfield, Moonee Valley) and Sydney tracks in terms of track conditions. Despite much better weather, Sydney tracks are always heavy in winter.
What goes on in Sydney?? Does Randwick every get better than a soft 7 in winter?

Interesting Q on Monday's University Challenge....
Name the state of Australia that contains none of the following cities:
Gold Coast
Hobart
Bunbury
Adelaide
Bendigo
Perth
Ballarat
Melbourne
Brisbane
I wouldn't have known it from geography, but the names on that list are mighty familiar and I definately know what state I don't trade!
Buzz, guess, boom, quiz king of the sofa regains his crown.

"Racing has been given the green light to continue in South Australia, despite the state government’s harsh COVID lockdown.Aarondewit wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 3:30 amThere is no racing in South Australia (Gawler) today. This is because of Covid lockdowns. It's fine to race in NSW and Victoria but not in SA?
On Tuesday, Racing SA made the call to postpone Wednesday’s Gawler meeting as it sought further clarity from authorities about whether the sport could continue under the seven-day ‘stay at home’ order.
But later that night, after lobbying from Racing SA CEO Nick Redin, the Marshall Government provided an updated list of what it deemed ‘essential services’ under the new restrictions, with all three codes of racing allowed to continue.
Saturday’s Morphettville race meeting will proceed without crowds and under a strict COVID management plan."

There is an explanation that?
