I would of backed Italy also... lucky for me I did half of day yesterday and forgot to get involved.greenmark wrote: ↑Wed Oct 06, 2021 10:45 pmOddly, even though I lost my £2, I did enjoy that game. Stereotypical Spanish 2 touch footy. Maybe one step too far for this Italian team, but what a record they have created.
Spain looked good!
It's a vain hope but perhaps any link with a regime we disagree with is an opportunity to influence them away from their abhorrent civil rights tactics. (And lets just forget Yemen).
93% of supporters are in favour. Can you really ignore that weight of opinion? You might like to change it, but can you ignore it?
It seems to be a done deal.
The money is going to catapult Newcastle to the top, something Ashley has singularly failed to do.

With Qatar bribing their way to getting the world cup and the Saudi's having the (bribing) power to make FIFA open a feasibility study into a bienniel World Cup the Arab states have FIFA in their pockets so its no surprise to see the Saudi's join the other states in the club game as well.
I think its really bad for football on the whole but good luck to the Newcastle fans, they deserve a bit of joy! And for all those neutrals it will make things really interesting.
