The farmer was towing the tank off his land! They do get stroppy with trespassers.
Reminds me of this scene. :)

It's still surreal to me that this clip is not from some random movie or a TV show, but from real life.

Instead of all the threats of economic sanctions they should have just cut to the chase and said Russia would be banned from the World Cup. Putin might not have invaded then.

40 mile long convoy of Russian military vehicles on the outskirts of Kiev

Looks like Putin's ready to turn it up a notch or two.

...or kilometres? I not, it's suddenly reduced to 25 miles according to BJ.

I'm not surprised the Russians are struggling against these.

I thought the president of Ukraine was sobbing when he gave his speech to the EU when I realised it wasn't him, it was the interpreter.

Mass walkout when the Russian Foreign Minister addressed the EU. He was addressing them remotely so didn't know he was talking to an empty room.

I suppose it's the only way to deal with someone who talks complete bollocks and doesn't realise it. :)

I know nothing about waging war. But it seems dozens of Russian tanks running out of fuel suggests a bit of a shambles. Or maybe not all the Russian military are really on board with this venture.

Putin has moved his family to a Nuclear Bunker in the Siberian Mountains.

It seems that we could all be fried toast soon enough as he his clearly mentally ill.

A lot of the equipment seems to be from Soviet times so it probably should be in a museum. There's a lot of 'propaganda' being spouted by the American media especially, highlighting failures of the Russian military without really acknowledging that Putin still hasn't gotten out of 1st gear. Some TV general this morning saying he wasn't worried by the 40 mile convoy because it was mostly full of supply trucks. Five minutes later a reporter on the ground completely contradicts him and says its full of tanks and anti-artillery pieces. Frustrating that you have to listen to so much crap just to get the news. Reuters and Associated Press for the actual news and CNN and Sky for everything else.

There have been reports that some of the Russian vehicles got lost!!

Hard to believe, but you wouldn't imagine a tank crew could leave their tank unguarded for a farmer to nick!

The Estonian Prime Minister, Kaja Kallas. Why can't we have her as PM? :D
