Just saw it on the news, it would have been hopeless.
The only occasion I remember being in goal, when I was eleven, the teacher later described one of my attempted saves as celebrating Christmas in July - the ball hit the back of the net and then I decided to dive.

There are times when you need to realise you're not gonna stop it.

I've been there so often. Long story. But you do not assume you cannot save a shot.
1. You have no idea how great you are until you try.
2. A pro keeper should fling himself/herself with 100% commitment. To crumble to your knees is just not goal-keeping.
