Despite the thin card conditions have been stellar today for the mid-stake stuff

Mornington trading nicely

Also, anyone know when Randwick meet will be rescheduled for?

Guys I can't believe it... I want to cry

I traded my last bit of cash £95 bank meticulously up to £232 through the session, it was the best I've had in ages in terms of edge, only for Kalgoorlie R3 (07:57 GMT) to be turned in-play like 5+ minutes early?!?!?!?! My lays were matched on fav but my hedges were VOID even tho I hedged ages before post.

I have been devastated a couple deserved mistakes recently, and when I finally started to build my bank up again this happens to me

Definitely gonna turn out to be a useful lesson long-term but found myself in a tough spot IRL short-term.
I have never needed a goodwill refund so bad, but feel too ashamed to ask

This is officially a cry for help to anyone who has a kind heart.
If you couldn't already tell, yes I'm desperate.

No shame in asking for a justice refund if you feel you’ve been hard done by. If you thought you were hedged and then bets got voided after the race sounds like you’ve got a case? Seen people get given a goodwill gesture payout before for various mistakes and outages, must be worth a go.

You're right. Last one I got was grand national 2016 I think.

Have opened the chat and trying a "Void Bet Request".

God luck Eight, its definitely worth an ask.

Shit like this is the reason I record every race I trade.

I've got it recorded too, the market report information from guardian was also useful in making my case.

Shit..............
Its clearly a cock up on Betfair's end so I'd push it a bit further up the food chain.

Yeah, should push higher if possible.

If it fails and you can't fund your bank atm for whatever reason maybe can set up GoFundMe or something to restore your trading bank, people probably wouldn't mind chipping in for a BF cock-up like this.

Sorry to hear that eightbo. That's clearly a Bumfair error, either all or none of the bets should be voided. Good luck with resolving it.

Get over it, eightbo. It's a part of this business. You have an edge, take a break for a couple of days and get back to work! Next time this'll happen you'll get a nice "bonus"!

@eightbo

Sorry to hear about this.

I can't really advise on this as I never traded that race and I've never got a refund from Betfair.

I have been betting on Australian races since Baghdad Note won the Melbourne Cup in 1970. I cannot remember a month I have recorded a loss although many months have been rather lean. I would love to be able to scalp however, I am a failed scalper. I have looked and read every available article but somehow, I cannot succeed as a scalper. Can anybody help with a few clues, or would it be best If I accept defeat.

If you haven’t had a losing month for 52 years, I wouldn’t be troubling yourself too much with learning how to scalp.

Pushed it too hard at Chelt day 2 and it went badly wrong, and outgoings have caught up to me

I agree, had it many times over the yrs + normally wouldn't care knowing it all balances out but can't fund even a small restart atm, so this 1 takes particular importance.

Although this morning's loss doesn't feel like my fault, hard to ask for help as I'm still feeling responsible for the path that led me here e.g. too much capital allocation as even if things were to go wrong, which is always of course a possibility, it shouldn't have been able to affect my situation in a significant way, it should be part of my wider risk management, and at some point I lose sight of that.
