Forgot to get the cat a treat tonight, so I switched the oven on just to cook two fish fingers. Scrapped away the batter, barely any fish in a fish finger, most of it is batter. Allowed it to cool and then presented it to the cat on a plate. She turned her nose up and buggered off outside, presumably to look for a mouse or something better to eat!

measure twice, cut once. Best toaster I used was a long double. Evidently if 2 slices wouldn't fit in one side, it was very wasteful energy-wise.
But a toaster that doesn't fit the average single slice loaf is just nonsense. This won't help now, but caveat emptor. You can't trust these people at all. Double check ever aspect.
At least you can do burger buns, muffins, and trimmed down standard slices.

It was a cheap toaster, did a search for the receipt and couldn't find it.
