WW1 reparations created WW2.
WW2 essentially created the Cold War, to which we seemed to have returned.
Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan are all a mess. Africa and the Middle East are all over the place.
Imagine if all that physical/mental effort of those conflicts was put into positive pursuits.
For all humanity's ingenuity we can be really flipping stupid.

Wealth of some people is fundamented on that, if only there was a bloodless way to take them out of the game or, at least, reduce their "appetite"...

I suspect the UK will get hit by a Russian missile soon as we giving Ukraine even more money and weapons. The rhetoric coming from Russian TV stations is rather worrying regarding a nuclear torpedo which will create a tsunami so big it will put all of the UK underwater.

Given the Kremlin's (Putin's?) stance that Nato is chomping at the bit to invade Russia (yeah, right!). Does the Russian regime (not Russians, this isn't a racist thing) really believe they have superior weapon available?
Essentially, this is Putinism attempting to regress European boundaries to it's specification. As I've said before you can wind back history and redraw boundaries as much as you like. The cost is lost human life and decades of progress and the work of millions of humans turned to rubble.

The West by being a bad example spoiled him. If the West consider itself superior that it shouldn't have done things it did and "feed the troll". And now, the answer on every reproach: "they did it, why shouldn't we do it, why is this not allowed for us?"
It doesn't matter if the problem is internal (like, brutal suppression of protests or political figures disposal, covid restrictions) or external (this conflict), there is always this damn answer.
