, I don't support any party or side, outside of trading it I don't really care or have much interest in politics at all, hence I've never bothered voting (except one election when I'd just turned 18 just because I now could) and that includes the referendu also because I wasn't bothered if we stayed in or out
As a total neutral observer and seeing things clearly and objectively as well as the bigger picture of what matters its been quite an few years just watching both sides trying to tear each other apart as well as themselves up in knots and in some cases even to the point of self-combusting over Brexit!

Its probably because people around me all know I've never had any interest in it so don't tend to bother me it
I don't socialise that much but when I do politics is not really a subject that ever comes up in conversation except maybe an odd reference to the latest headline.
But I do know people from the same family who haven't spoken or had any direct contact since around 2017 due to disagreements over Brexit - Its just so bizarre how they (and many others) have gotten so entrenched and divided by an opposing view on a single issue
We are effectively living under an elective dictatorship with no true opposition. This will become clearer over the next 10 years. Policies are dictated at global level no matter which party is voted in, that's why we see the same sort of policies coming in to different countries across the world at the same time.
If you don't believe me then ask yourself who voted in all these extra taxes for driving cars in cities, who voted to teach children to choose their gender at age 5, who voted for economically and socially damaging restrictions, who voted to spend £37 billion on a pointless track and trace app, who voted to let in tens of thousands of refugees, who voted to send billions to Ukraine while our own citizens live in poverty, who voted for these new laws coming that silently remove some human rights and free speech?
People fought and died for democracy, to avoid a lot of what's happening now.

The answer to all your "who voted?" questions is, nobody votes for what happens, people vote for a party that chooses what happens. Do you have a link to the story about teaching children to choose their gender at the age of five?
The simple answer to your last question is, we are not seeing a far-left takeover. You are seeing a far-left takeover. I would have thought by now you'd realise you see the opposite of what sane people see, so use I instead of we.

Latest tally: 83 people received a total of 126 fixed penalty notices. Still no news of anyone getting the £10K fine for organising events!

I love these "the ABC cost £XYZ" comments ... that's only the case if you wouldn't have employed those conducting the investigation or had to employ others to do other jobs! The 'cost' is what the staff/resources would have done instead but didn't. I'm assuming in the main the staff conducting the review were pen-pushers so the 'cost' was that they could have pushed different pens!
