Just heard a story about a manager who told his players not to go in for any challenge they can't win. The team ended up losing to a free kick. When the manager asked the player who gave away the free kick why he did it, he said I thought I was going to win the ball.

Benzema 1.28 to lay for the ballon d'or.
That will drift if Liverpool win especially if Salah or Mane star.

That's footy for you. Spurs pip Arsenal. City hold off Liverpool.
Always been that way in the best seasons.
Arsenal beating Liverpool in the final 1989 game sticks in my memory. Drama. And hope to deflation in an instant.
I think Arteta is alright (which is a change of opinion).
Some guts to come through this season and nearly get 4th. Next year eh? As always.

What do you make of the price? Feels a bit short to me. I’m no expert on football or football odds but that price doesn’t seem right… GL regardless.Crazyskier wrote: ↑Sat May 28, 2022 6:33 pmAs will my lad who supports Man U. I'm not a Liverpool fan per se, but do have some pennies on them to win.

Ronnie Whelan on the Irish coverage saying his phone is hopping with texts, absolute shambles of a setup trying to get the fans into the ground and the roads to St Denis gridlocked since 4-5 hours before kick-off time. I'd still rather the game be delayed an hour or 2 if needed than have it all turn bad.

I am getting a live stream from outside the stadium, trouble everywhere, French police are being very heavy handed to say the least. Guess they on edge for potential terrorist attack or something.
Must be the other side of the stadium. I've switched to BBC News and a reporter's talking outside the stadium - everything dead calm!Archery1969 wrote: ↑Sat May 28, 2022 8:03 pmI am getting a live stream from outside the stadium, trouble everywhere, French police are being very heavy handed to say the least.
