There's a decent arb on Wallace in the next PM and Next Tory leader market even with an insurance bet on Kier being next PM (assuming he's not jobless next week)
Next Prime Minister / Tory Party Leader
Surely no chance of Starmer being the next PM as the leadership contest will come before a GE.Dallas wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 2:26 pmhttps://www.betfair.com/exchange/plus/p ... .160843673

Starmer ix threating a VONC if he tried to stay on till September, which 'could' push us into GE territoryDerek27 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 4:45 pmSurely no chance of Starmer being the next PM as the leadership contest will come before a GE.Dallas wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 2:26 pmhttps://www.betfair.com/exchange/plus/p ... .160843673

Starmer will wait to see what the Police decide either tomorrow or next week. If he cleared then will call for a VONC. He can then take the morale high ground if the Tories effectively back BJ and the government rather than potentially losing allot of seats.
He could then argue that the Tory party have no morales either, like their leader.

He made a huge mistake by offering his conditional resignation and putting his future in the hands of Durham police, who could well be Tory voters.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 5:32 pmStarmer will wait to see what the Police decide either tomorrow or next week. All I would say is they taking along time to make a decision. Don’t understand why it takes so long for these type of investigations. Surely they have the photos and witness statements long ago. What they waiting for. It’s either a yes or no. Can see now why so much money and time gets wasted with investigations.Derek27 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 5:47 pmHe made a huge mistake by offering his conditional resignation and putting his future in the hands of Durham police, who could well be Tory voters.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 5:32 pmStarmer will wait to see what the Police decide either tomorrow or next week. No because if some of the Tories vote with Labour then it could trigger a General Election and allot of Tory MP’s know they could well lose their seat and give Labour the keys to No10.
Damned if you do and damned if you don’t.
Sir Kier will call it and probably lose but can then turn around and say to the electorate that you can’t trust any of them. He is playing the long game and stand a better chance in 2 years time etc. Assuming he doesn’t get a Police fine.

A very good point. It's all very well tearing down the red wall but those MP's are now sitting ducks.

She said she has 100% confidence in the incompetent lying git, which will make a few Johnson haters turn away.

Yes but she can have a place in my bunker any day of the week and twice on a Sunday.Derek27 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 07, 2022 10:59 pmShe said she has 100% confidence in the incompetent lying git, which will make a few Johnson haters turn away.
