Hello all,
Im new here so please forgive me if I am asking for something that has already been discussed. If so I cannot find it here. I am looking for a simple greyhound betting automation file that lets me lay multiple dogs in a race but only selects the best lay odds dog and cancels all other bets
thanks

Hello, thanks for the reply. I want to select by trap number.. Thanks.
So on race 1 you might decide to lay traps 2, 3 and 6 and you want the rule to lay the lowest price from those trapsphilip37000 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 05, 2022 4:48 pmHello, thanks for the reply. I want to select by trap number.. Thanks.
then on race 2 you might want to lay traps 1, 2 and 4 and the rule is again to lay the lowest price from those traps?

Hello and thanks for the reply. Yes that's exactly what I would need.
Ok I see what it is you want now
First you'll need a 'Set/Modify Stored Value' rule applied to Guardian nominated 1
and on the stored value tab set a stored value (give it any name your want ie, sel_order) the selections 'back price'
Then duplicate that rule up to 4 more times with the only change being the selection its applied to, so for the second rule apply it to 'Guardian Nominated 2'
and so on
Then add a 'Update Custom Rankings of Selections' rule
and on the parameters tab
Assign Rankings to - Custom Ranking 1
Rank by - Stored Value named 'sel_order' (or whatever you named your stored values
in Ascending Order
Then you can add your 'Place Lay bet' rule
and apply it by Rank to 'Custom Ranking 1' 1
Then each race you just choose the selections/trap numbers you want to potentially lay on your main Guardian page in the 'Automation Nominated Selection' columns

I don't think he'd have written a baf file, it's just an explanation.philip37000 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 2:17 pmThank you so much. I am not familiar with the settings. Any chance you could send me the .baf file please?

ive got a related query to this as when there are six runners, my automation is fine, but with NR it can cause significant problems.
Ive had a play around and set SVs as follows : T1=1, T2=2, T3=3 etc etc taken from the betfair row number
when there is a vacant trap (lets say T4) this causes T4 to have an SV of 5, T5 to have an SV of 6 etc, which causes havoc with the automation,
I think the solution is if T4 not equal to 4, then remove that from the automation with a dummy value, and reassign the other traps SV using a +1 for the SV,
(I am also using another SV to pull the number out from the selection name so "5. Still running" has a value of 5.
Simplest way I can see of doing it.

why don't you use a text comparison so that it is looking for the dog name containing 4
