Leaked plan of the Kherson offensive confirms that Ukraine is attempting an ambitious flanking maneuver.

And it's apparently working.

Find that hard to believe. Crossing into Russian territory would strengthen Russian resolve.
Where did you get that? Or did you just draw some arrows on a map? :-}

Russia could start nuking Ukraine and Sky News won't give a shit about it, no longer newsworthy.

It’s possible but highly dangerous. Basically Ukraine are trying to encircle Russian troops and cut them off from supply chains and Bombard them into surrender.

Looks like a total change of direction by Zelensky being to go totally on the offensive but crossing over into Russia to do it would allow Russia to use their Nuclear Weapons for protection.

If that happens then all bets would be off and cause a real problem for the USA and Europe.

Ukraine must know something we don’t. Maybe the USA has given them the long range missiles (300 miles) after all.

If true then a very bold move or maybe a stupid one.

Makes a change for Sky news to have something new to report and reporters on hand to cover them

Throughout Aug it felt like every time I put it on they seemed to be banging on about the same few things we already knew about

Then one day (think it was during or around the heatwave) I turned it on hoping to get some latest updates on it and there was no coverage at all - for over an hour I sat through the same stuff I already knew about - most of it as far back as July so I wasn't really watching news more like a ongoing repeat of old reports while they waited for something different to come along and had a reporter on hand to cover it.

Never had it on once since that day

They know the rest of the world isn't watching, it's more interested in watching King Charles shake hands with people outside Buckingham Palace.

By the way, Charles Phillip Arther Windsor could have used any one of his names. I'd definitely have gone for King Arther.

You can't watch Sky News for more than an hour unless, like me, you use it as a radio station without really watching. But now it's become completely unbearable. I've had to get used to trading in a quiet room again.

Turns out the USA has also been training thousands of Ukraine recruits at its bases in Germany and Poland plus also giving them state of the art personal kit.

Maybe this has emboldened Zelensky to take the fight to Putin.

But I still think it would be madness for them to enter Russian territory.

Y, your right I rarely if ever sit and watch any news channel, but just have them on in the background while I'm busy with other stuff

They might have taken control of Moscow by now. With any luck, somebody might send a note on a pigeon to let us know.

I'm not 100% sure but think it's been made clear to Zelensky he's only to use weapons provided by NATO within the Ukraine, if he starts firing them over the border or even crosses it with them on route somewhere else that could see the end of some of the NATO supply and support

It can be quite a distraction though, with some of the anchorwomen and reporters. :D
