work on the stuff that pays a wage 247365.
wages ? or dividend ?

i think manual and semi auto traders put in the hours for valuable lessons while earning or loosing a wage .
they will take the knowledge and create a scalable bot for some dividends.
choosing your own hours and having a passive income.
automation is absolutely superb ! a very speedy way to make or loose a bank

maintenance , maintenance , maintenance is the key.

In-running horse racing is my bread and butter
jimibt says crypto is similar with a bit more reward.....so you have mastered how to fish in a pond , time to go deep sea and beyond :)
similar - tho of course the dangers are different. in my case, i don't hold crypto (spot), i prefer to use futures with a small amount of leverage.
the main similarities are:

1. orderflow
2. trend reversals
3. blatant manipulation
4. ranging and trending markets
5. money management
6. money management
7. money management

i know it's a cliché to make the triple point, but it really is true. the ability to backtest gives a good idea of liklihood on your expected R:R. I'd say that this is the most important aspect which definitely ties neatly back to pre-race - i.e. make sure that you are taking x times profit vs 0.5x loss on your losses. and likewise, stick to your strategy/plan as this is what all your backtesting will have oriented you twds..

3. blatant manipulation
spoofs
bombers
sharks
market makers
crossmatching
w.o.m bots
stoploss hunters
....................................E....T....C

what happens if you choose to manipulate ? penalised ?

sample size , fill-rates, out-ages , liquidity....with a little gamblers fallacy does back-testing truely works ? the margin of errors are as good as a random coin flip.?

depending on if offering or taking prices , pre -race is meant to be a zero-sum game .
is crypto/futures same ?

NO gutts ! NO glory !.... very interesting indeed ......i think i should take the jump . :D

i don't think anyone has quite worked that out yet, especially when using leverage on futures as one guy can make £1k from a £10k stake on minimal ticks, whereas, another pushes £1k into the market and may lose 20% of it inside the same timeframe. this is the main and subtle differentiator.. i.e. using the appropriate stake, leverage and taking the appropriate ticks (on both profit and stop) for the scenario at hand.

Please don't imagine that because the ladder looks a little bit like stock prices that they are in anyway the same, there's more differences than similarities.
