I think they can't hand over the iron dome system without Israel permission, I can't find information that Israel allowed it.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 9:25 amA deal was done 3 weeks ago at German army base. Some possible reasons:
1. He running out of kit and thinks the public will turn against him if he leaves his troops in Ukraine over winter to basically freezing to death with no ammunition, food or medical supplies.
2. He wants to get the troops out as he planning a low yield nuclear missile strike as asked to do by the Chechen leader fighting on the ground who has lost shit loads of his own men.
3. Turkey has been putting allot of pressure on him behind the scenes to negotiate a settlement.
4. The UK, USA, Germany and now Israel are sending air defence systems to stop the avalanche of cruise missiles he been sending and realises there is no point in firing them. Waste of valuable kit which he may need later on against NATO maybe.
Being serious it could be a combination of all of the above although I hope he not planning option 2.
I guess you've been misinformed.and now Israel
Ukraine Crisis
Do you have reference for that? Everything I've seen is about Israel blocking their systems from being supplied to Ukraine due to their relationship with Russia (which I found a bit jaw-dropping, but anyhow).Archery1969 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 9:25 amA deal was done 3 weeks ago at German army base. in Israel there are many repatriates from the ussr and Russia, very russian-speaking country. But I think the main reason is that jews aren't really fans of ukrainians. For some obvious googlable reasons.which I found a bit jaw-dropping, but anyhow

Although it says Israel has continued to rebuff Ukraine's request there was a secret meeting in Germany 3 weeks ago, attended by Ukraine, USA and Israel. Check forces.net for article.

Israel's attitude has changed due to the number of civillans killed:
Foreign Minister Yair Lapid even explicitly accused Russia of war crimes earlier this month, in the strongest comments against Moscow yet by a top Israeli official.
Gantz’s office said last week that “the defense minister wished to emphasize that Israel stands by the side of the citizens of Ukraine, and the need to continue to assist the country and to act to end the war.”

Nope can't find anything but stuff about UK AMRAAM and US NASAM systems. But I'll take your word for it.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 10:01 amhttps://www.timesofisrael.com/us-presse ... r-ukraine/

Certainly noone can complain about the supply of anti-missile systems (unless they come with NATO operators I suppose).

Not all is as it seems and this will seriously piss Putin off. Israel is no friend of Putin:greenmark wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 10:23 amNope can't find anything but stuff about UK AMRAAM and US NASAM systems. Satellite images show Russia has moved 11 x TU-160 Nuclear Bombers close to Finland and Norway borders.
Amazon got some good deals on tin hats.

This insn't 1945. Any nuclear attack would be met by similar force.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 2:23 pmSatellite images show Russia has moved 11 x TU-160 Nuclear Bombers close to Finland and Norway borders.

On the basis of the last few months Russia is not a superpower. It's falling to bits before our eyes. The sooner moderates in Russia remove Putin and his cronies the better.
With all being said, 135 thread pages later, some of our initial thoughts from February are still valid.
As deplorable as the Russian regime is, the West should shoulder an equal amount of blame for guiding us into this predicament in the first place.
At this day and age we should not even be flirting with the idea of destroying our civilization or our planet. Surely, self-preservation should be the main policy of any species, including a species as idiotic as humans.

But nope, our leaders get caught up in irrelevant politics and all the infighting about power and influence and natural resources. Our own psychology will be our undoing, we all claim that fear is a much more powerful emotion than greed, but is that really the case on a macro scale? I'm not convinced.
Maybe it will be at some point, but that point may very well be the point of no return.

You damn right, Kai. Instead of extensive Space exploration and some random alien's ass kicking, our elites or top class manipulate us into head-butting with each other, and for what? - for staying at the top of the hierarchy even at the cost of general degradation. Have they completely forgotten how to dream?
Depressing stuff(.

Don't be depressed. Get rid of Putin then we can start on the plutocratsnapshnap wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 4:36 pmYou damn right, Kai. The spanish co-ops used to limit the income of the richest employee to 3 times that of the lowest paid.
That would cause havoc in the UK. But it is perhaps closer to a sustainable society than what we have currently.
I'm not sure that this is achievable due the globalism. Middle class should somehow crystallize true leaders and learn how to use lower class to change things dramatically. But I don't know how to unite such a huge masses, is it even possible?greenmark wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 4:54 pmDon't be depressed.
