I'm less interested in the blame game and the correct blame ratio and more interested in a way out of this. And not just for the current situation but for future conflicts as well, there may be more to overcome in the near future.
Can't deny that Elon Musk is a brilliant man and a real forward thinker, by keeping the peace dialogue open at the very least he's giving Kremlin a lifeline, a reason not to resort to anything stupid. But there may come a point soon where Ukraine's zeal will have to be reigned in a touch, I'm sure they don't ultimately want to become the catalyst for the unthinkable.
Ukraine Crisis
Just look at look at the state of British politics, they can't even sort out their own differences, let alone find time to deal with international matters, let alone global ones.
Fuck sake, at some point you really have to stop laughing and start sobbing instead.

Elites should be dramaticly refreshed, or even the whole social structure should be changed to stop them using conflicts as an instrument ("imperialist wars").Kai wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 5:06 pmI'm less interested in the blame game and the correct blame ratio and more interested in a way out of this. Oh God, i'm going Left!
Derek, what's that thing above your head? it's round and shiny, blinding my eyes.
Random question for you directly then, before you get too distracted with birdwatching

If you had the power to decide, would you give Crimea to Russia? If it meant 100% guaranteed peace.
Or would you give Crimea to Ukraine again? If it meant there's a 10% chance of a nuclear extinction level event.
I'd give it to Ukraine and nuclear war wouldn't result in extinction, although it wouldn't be very nice.Kai wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 7:15 pmRandom question for you directly then, before you get too distracted with birdwatching

If you gave Crimea to Putin then next year he'd want Ukraine so you'd be back to square one.
Unfortunately, PSG's playing now so I've had to switch over.

No compromise or deals with Putin. All lands returned to Ukraine.
Its very possible to take Putin, his forces and infrastructure out with a very well timed and coordinadted effort by Nato all at the same time:
- Satelites
- Communications
- Naval fleet, Army, Air power
- Gas infrastructure
- Electricity infrastructure
- Nuclear infrastructure
- Kremlin
- All embassies in Nato countries
- FSB HQ plus all sub stations at home and abroad
And if by some miracle Putin survies then he be tied to a chair, fingers, toes and teeth pulled out with just a pair of pliers. Then he forced to eat them. Afterwoods, if still alive, put in a metal box with a 6mm air hole where he remains until death.
Need to get my PM campaign going asap.

How can he eat them when his teeth have been pulled out?Archery1969 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 7:31 pmAnd if by some miracle Putin survies then he be tied to a chair, fingers, toes and teeth pulled out with just a pair of pliers. He can munch of them with his gums, then punched in the stomach, made to swallow them.Derek27 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 7:39 pmHow can he eat them when his teeth have been pulled out?Archery1969 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 7:31 pmAnd if by some miracle Putin survies then he be tied to a chair, fingers, toes and teeth pulled out with just a pair of pliers. Not under the current system.napshnap wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 5:06 pmI'm not sure that this is achievable due the globalism. Middle class should somehow crystallize true leaders and learn how to use lower class to change things dramatically. But I don't know how to unite such a huge masses, is it even possible?greenmark wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 4:54 pmDon't be depressed. Get rid of Putin then we can start on the plutocratsnapshnap wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 4:36 pmYou damn right, Kai. Instead of extensive Space exploration and some random alien's ass kicking, our elites or top class manipulate us into head-butting with each other, and for what? - for staying at the top of the hierarchy even at the cost of general degradation. Have they completely forgotten how to dream?
Depressing stuff(.
The spanish co-ops used to limit the income of the richest employee to 3 times that of the lowest paid.
That would cause havoc in the UK. But it is perhaps closer to a sustainable society than what we have currently.
We basically elect leaders based on popularity and not ability, then wonder how can they be so incompetent. It's moronic, this entire era will be a laughing stock in future history books, we have the technology but not the mentality and education yet. For the love of God don't let the people and the ignorant masses decide who should wield power, they don't even know what they want and are influenced and bought far too easily, giving the biggest decisions to the least qualified to make them makes no sense. Young people and younger generations are getting more educated much faster so perhaps there's going to be a mentality switch at some point, but the educational systems are in dire need of an overhaul as well.
The monetary system we have in place only really promotes greed and corruption, how can you keep battling your own psychology and human nature? You're just going to lose, in short we have to find ways to get the best out of humanity but the systems we have in place are focused on getting the worst out of us. Is there a single person here that doesn't like money and doesn't think it would be nice if they could have some more? Some would no doubt cross many lines to get more, like Putin has shown as an extreme example, if you're willing to kill and steal on a large scale then it's possible to become the richest man in your country.
We definitely are capable of astonishing things as well, but in the very LONG term we have to find ways to suppress human greed, a moneyless economy or something along those lines, the exchange of goods and services for work obligations etc. This concept does work on a micro level, within a family household for example, so it's not completely out of the question. But those with money and power will forever resist any change that threatens to take it all away.
