We don’t want it going to a ballot. They will pick Penny. Somebody shoot her quick.

She's 30 on the exchange if you want a bit of her. :)

One of the few sensible decisions BJ has made. Credit to him. Let's now get on with sorting the s**tshow. Yes?

Edit: I withdraw this post having read BJ's weasal word statement. Even in defeat he still tries to swivel the debate to his aims.

"And though I have reached out to both Rishi (Sunak) and Penny (Mordaunt) - because I hoped that we could come together in the national interest - we have sadly not been able to work out a way of doing this.
Therefore I am afraid the best thing is that I do not allow my nomination to go forward and commit my support to whoever succeeds. "I believe I have much to offer but I am afraid that this is simply not the right time."

What a disingenuous arsehole!
It's not really his decision whether he has enough support.

I guess BJ is the least of our problems. I wouldn't be against him being involved in our support of Ukraine. I think he would be quite good at that.
I just don't want him at the UK steering wheel.

He's not even fit to be an MP. Do you think he's gonna do any constituency work while he's here? No. He'll have a good cry and then bugger off. He thinks it's in the nation's best interest that he leads it but not that he does any work that the nation pays him to do!

I was surprised he had to come back from "several weeks" holiday.
Different worlds.
Everyone is entitled to time off. IMO more time off than Joe Bloggs just means you're lazy or priviledged. I know a plasterer that worked flat out for 20 years. Now he choose's his jobs.
My brother-in-law was a chef. Double shifts were normal. So that's out of the house before 6 and back home at 22:00 ish. Sure, you get breaks but it's flippng hard work to put food on people's plates. Bare that in mind next time you have a meal and are contemplating the tip.

Johnson says now is not the right time. When is the right time to have a disgraced lying buffoon running the country Boris?

It's a shame that sanity has prevailed. I was looking forward to watching Derek implode in a frenzy of incredulousness.

I think Boris the Buffoon could lose his seat in the next election. He probably won't spend much time here, he wasn't even happy with his salary as PM, if his constituents have any sense they'll elect someone who gives a fuck about them, come the next election.

Earlier today from Boris the Buffoon: There is a very good chance that I would be successful in the election with Conservative Party members - and that I could indeed be back in Downing Street on Friday.

Boris claimed he had 102 votes. But no one can name them all.
I think his pants are on fire again

Something interesting I heard today, the Conservative leadership rules allowing members to vote were drafted in 1998 after the Labour landslide. They were never intended to select a new prime minister.

Asking 'the people' to vote on an important decision sounds all nice and democratic. The trouble is 'the people' are invariably uninformed or idiots... and often both.
