I've been sports trading for the last couple of months using Linux friendly software, and have now decided to give BA a whirl. Using spreadsheets to trade interests me and can see this being a benefit (I have a few ideas ticking around my overcrowded mind). As an avid Linux user, I'm used to software like BA not working, it's unfortunate , but I can understand the reasons why. So on Sunday I'm gonna begrudgingly install (grrrr) microsoft
on a spare computer so I can use BA, I'm even sacrificing my beloved 23" monitor to BA and MS 
Now for my question, I was wondering if open office or libre office could be used instead of excel, otherwise I would need to purchase excel
. which for a trial would not be ideal.Any help would be appreciated
