Hi.
This has probably been covered elsewhere but I can't find it. Sorry.
I'm trying to place 10c bets on the football, and I understand that BA places a $5 bet at 1000 and then makes the necessary, but in some large portion of my bets it is successfully doing the first step but not the second step and I'm left with a bunch of $5 bets at 1000.
Does anyone have a solution/suggestion for that one?
(Also, is there a way to change the minimum bet size so that I dont have to do that two-step? (My account has a lower than standard minimum bet size)
$5 unmatched bet not changing to small stakes
Thanks. It works properly most of the time, but some markets will have all $5 bets outstanding, others will have a combination of the $5 and the proper amount.
If there's an event with some $5 bets and I hit 'cancel all', they disappear obviously and get replaced with the proper smaller bets.
Is it possibly an issue with refresh rates / large number of markets in guardian?

This automation you are talking about? If so, no issues here...
If manual then I sometimes use the bookmaking or dutching options to place v small stakes in market - "back with a stake of..." option.

Yes, it's auto. Doing about 5000 bets per day in totalsionascaig wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2023 9:33 amThis automation you are talking about? If so, no issues here...

47 markets covered so far today with several hundred bets, all less than min stuff (AUS racing) but all on the lay side with no issues.
Are you using the "by liability using stored value stakes" option for back bets?
I've used that in the past with no issues re minimum amounts.

Thanks. No, I'm using fixed stakes of 10csionascaig wrote: ↑Sat Aug 26, 2023 8:16 am47 markets covered so far today with several hundred bets, all less than min stuff (AUS racing) but all on the lay side with no issues.

I managed to get a pic of the error. (The bets get placed hours before the event)

I'm guessing just a processing glitch - as you know - its got to upsize the $5 to $5.10 to get an additional bet and then cancel the $5 and leave you with the $0.1 and then its got to change the odds on the $0.1. Every now and then something is not going to work with that many operations.
Why don't you reduce to $1? given the min Aust stake size has dropped to $1 and BA can cope with that?
Thanks. it'd be interesting to know the exact process to see exactly where it is going wrong. eg it might place 50 bets in a market and none of them get amended. So instead of $5 exposure it is $250. Perhaps speeding it up or slowing it down might help (I'm currently at 20ms but with lots of markets)gazuty wrote: ↑Sun Aug 27, 2023 3:35 amI'm guessing just a processing glitch - as you know - its got to upsize the $5 to $5.10 to get an additional bet and then cancel the $5 and leave you with the $0.1 and then its got to change the odds on the $0.1. I didnt know that we could change the $5 (for small bets) to $1. Any idea how/where to do that? I changed the default stake in settings/staking but that didnt fix it.
I trigger bets from guardian - so in parameters - stake.Anbell wrote: ↑Sun Aug 27, 2023 4:07 amThanks. it'd be interesting to know the exact process to see exactly where it is going wrong. eg it might place 50 bets in a market and none of them get amended. I've got it set at my desired 10c, and it does the rest automaticallygazuty wrote: ↑Sun Aug 27, 2023 6:44 amI trigger bets from guardian - so in parameters - stake.Anbell wrote: ↑Sun Aug 27, 2023 4:07 amThanks. it'd be interesting to know the exact process to see exactly where it is going wrong. eg it might place 50 bets in a market and none of them get amended. Idle thought - are you using the latest version of BA given that it is adjusting the bet with $5 stakes ?
Given gaz's comment about AUS min stake now being $1 instead of $5 I think when GB changed from £2 to £1 min stake it needed a new version of BA - ie the min stakes etc are hard coded in the program ?
