Hi all,
Having a few difficulties in creating a bot to lay the SP favourite based on the start time (Due to the tennis markets never going off on time) just wondering if anybody can point me in the right direction - Very basic bot I'm just wanting to essentially lay the SP favourite - any criteria/conditions welcome. May just go with bet at SP.
Additionally, I'm also looking for another to create a bot for backing fav or underdog after losing the first set.
Any help here would be appreciated been unable to sift through the vast majority as these threads as some of the bots are a bit too technical for me at the minute just looking to keep it basic so I can review the data on small stakes.
Thanks!
SP Fav Bot
Betfair don't offer SP betting in Tennis (I can never remember if this includes Grand slams or not) but they certainly don't on lower tier tournaments
But on any market where SP betting is allowed knowing who would be the fav (if they were priced close together) is impossible until after they have gone in-play and the SP bet is reconciled
So if you want to bet on the fav at the start of a tennis match you'd either
A) Need to pick a point in time ie, the official start time and place the bet on whoever was fav then
B) Continually store the last traded price while not in-play, then once the match has started place a bet on the player who had the lowest lTP before it went in play
If you let us know which of those two you want to do we'll be able to advise how to set it up
Regarding backing the loser of the first set, there is a ready-made example in the tennis section of the shared files which will do that

Hi Dallas,
Thanks for the reply - I did try on a start time basis but I noticed last night a few of the matches I added in started before the off time all in all they never really go off early so I'd probably go with A however if you could also run me through B as well i can review how they both work/which would be better - that would be great thanks for your help!
On two I did see that one but I was looking for an outright bet on the loser of the first set would it just be a case of amending the conditions/parameters on the greening part and this will just run per the above without the greening affect.
Thanks for your help btw much appreciated being the amateur I am.
Scott.
