The word "shit" emerged in the Covid inquiry. Anchor woman had to interrupt to apologise and advise that they're not in control of the language used at the hearing. What century is this?

They could at least have a delay so they can edit the contents before transmission.
There's a 3 min delay on the feed so no reason why they can't edit swearing out.

The century where swearing as unfortunately become the norm, usually just a warning that the next word will be a noun rather than considered impact. Fine on programs you choose to watch but the news is an exception that ought to maintain certain standards and be appropriate for anyone.

My favourite ever swearer was Brian Sewell, huge range and beautifully positioned. A man who understood it's an art form not just a substitute for a lack of vocabulary.

What's the point in covering a hearing if you don't know what they're saying? Right now, the Sky presenter is talking over Cummings' voice to apologise about swearing, for the umpteenth time!

He's probably called his former boss a buffoon or bum monkey.

Ahh Sky News, yeah very touchy feely. The BBC Parliament channel usually shows these things unapologetically and R4 does in the late slots. They probably insert extra swearing on GBeebies. :)

What is the point in having a Commonwealth if all the King can do is visit Commonwealth countries to apologise for all the atrocities we've caused.

I got an email from McDonald's offering a 99p Big Mac today via the app, but there's nothing there, bastards!

Edit: FFS, you have to play a game to get the Big Mac. Do they think I'm a ten-year-old?

Lord Nelson was one of the best military leaders we've ever had. That's why we should all purchase a gold coin for £69. What a selling point!

I love the way those are always minted in somewhere like Tristan Da Cuhna. They make it look like Great British Bulldog and Roast Beef currency every pensioner should be proud to own. Value wise, you'd get the weight.

There's a new coin with King Charles facing the right - all the others have him facing the left, only 4,999 coins are minted and it's only £39!

Instead of the King roaming the Commonwealth apologising about what we've done to them, they should just print the apology on bank notes and circulate them.

Just had a stone-cold triple cheeseburger. Didn't have time to ask for a replacement, with Italian Serie A starting.

The saying "that's not cricket" is well and truly buried, or at least you need to drop the word not!

Agreed and a shame. I guess cricket has surrendered to 'professionalism'. Clearly he didn't think the Bangladeshis would stoop as low as the Aussies.

I wonder what the umpires would have answered if he had asked them "I have a problem with my helmet, I don't want to be timed out, will you allow me to replace it or do I have to play without a helmet?".

I must admit, in primary school we were always watching the batsman in case he accidentally strayed from his crease so we could get him out.

But that lack of sportsmanship has no place in the professional game.
