Scores in tennis through excel.

So if I have this correct, I think all I have to do is to put the scores in a sheet, on different tabs, one tab for each match and then connect that tab to the match. So not using the template at all. Just a clean sheet that updates the scores. After that I will read the score into stored values and refer to the stored values in my code. Is it almost that simple??
