Betfair in play delay - re: bet placement

Probably a silly question, but .... With Bet Angel's in play module where back or lay bets can be placed by clicking either infront of or behind any given runner's position, I imagine that Betfair still delays the bet for an average of 5 seconds before placement? If so, isn’t it likely that the market odds will move past the placement odds of the bet and therefore nullifying the position? Dallas maybe you can educate me...? Cheers

Yes. Horse racing is only 1 second delay though.
