Indeed. I also layed Scottie BIG time pre-off, with backing of several possible contenders including Bryson. Lickily his 41 down to 8s on day one meant I could green up and start over as I was shocked to see Scottie drop to 4s on day one, when when he was 5 shots off the lead!

It's been a salutary lesson for me, how such strong favourites can stay absurdly low, even when not even leading. His double bogey last night also gave me some joy, I must say.

I do think he'll win it but hope that the chasing pack of Collin, Bryson and Max et al can make a real fight of it. It should be ace!

One of the most famous mis prices I saw was top weight Fujiyama Crest 12/1 in the morning 2/1 fav before Frankie set off on the last leg of the unprecedented 7 timer tilt. Completely ridiculous price...... We all know what happened that day. Should be drama tonight. Scheffler dashing off to be at the birth of his child is not out of the question. Enjoy the golf.

With a close chasing pack, it won't take much for his price to blip out on a mistake. Sometbody needs to step up and put the pressure on from that pack.

I'm always of the view that if you have something to lose you really feel the pressure. But if you are chasing, you don't and can take a bigger risk the longer things grind on.

Got a $50 free bet from TAB last week, I have never had any luck with bonus bets I seem to jinx them, so start of the Master I place it on Scottie S to win outright at 6.5, go check my account and it says bet pending (some 2hrs after it ended) so thought this is strange. On closer examination I see Tourney starts 20th June, seems like I put bet on the Open.
