Blacklisted. It's been hours now.

Fired up my old Betdaq account a week ago and I must admit I've been having great fun on Bet Angel.. that's until today.

Today I went and did the silly thing. I was curious so I installed another tool called 'Betdaq Assistent'. Loaded up a market and I didn't like the look and feel of it so I promptly uninstalled it.

Loaded back up Bet Angel and I see following error repeatedly:

An error occurred while getting full market volume information for all runners: <406> BETDAQ cannot process your request as you are currently calling their servers too frequently and have been temporarily black-listed 
Blacklist info: LISTSELECTIONTRADES - Wait 59 seconds

I paused refresh so it stops refreshing the market.

Spoke to Betdaq Support and they said the account is in good standing, they don't see any issues. They suggested I ask Bet Angel team but I explained it's a server issue at Betdaq. They couldn't help unfortunately.

It's been many hours and when I login I keep getting this error 406.

UPDATE: It's now 8+ hours and my Bet Angel is still getting blocked - same above error.

What can I do lads?

I get this all the time. It doesnt seem to make any difference to trading. Seems to settle down once I've been logged in for a while.

Interesting. I just noticed that the bet I was putting in when I first saw the error went through and was accepted.

I hope it goes away tho, it's rather annoying as it makes the log window fill up fast.

Oh and what settings would you recommend I use if you don't mind me ask?

I can't advise as I'm quite new to trading with Betdaq myself. But those errors don't seem to stop my trades going through. My trades are often going through at the wrong price though... viewtopic.php?t=29206 I wonder if it's connected?

Yep. Bets seem to go through fine. The log window continues to be hammered with error 406.

Daq have limits on API usage - found this in my archive - the BA help link mentioned in the thread below is out of date but I assume the text below was scraped from there ...

From January 2015, Betdaq have increased the number of calls you are allowed to make into their API and for most users this will allow a single instance of Bet Angel for Betdaq to run at full speed without limitation.

However, if you exceed the limits you will be temporarily excluded from the API for 60 seconds and during that time will see a 406 blacklisting error message in the Bet Angel log.

The default refresh settings of Bet Angel are as follows:

Bet Angel (500ms)
Matched & Unmatched bets (350ms)
Full market depth (1 second)
Traded volume (2 seconds)
Guardian (1 sec)

For a single instance of Bet Angel, the following settings have been tested and don't blacklist even when placing 200 bets per minute:

Bet Angel (200ms)
Matched & Unmatched bets (200ms)
Full market depth (200 ms)
Traded volume (1 second)
Guardian (200ms)

If you intend to run two instances of Bet Angel for Betdaq at the same time we'd recommend the following settings:

Bet Angel (400ms)
Matched & Unmatched bets (400ms)
Full market depth (400 ms)
Traded volume (2 seconds)
Guardian (400ms)

Good news. An extreme measure to take but the error 406 disappeared after I did a full reset of Windows 11.

Back to a nice, clean setup!

For a single instance of Bet Angel, the following settings have been tested and don't blacklist even when placing 200 bets per minute:
