Your definition of multiculturalism is deranged. On your thinking, meat eaters and vegetarians are a cultural clash.

Long time ago but I think Squash featured thats how we met. But also his business in clothing retail. We both were petrolheads so he was cars and I was bikes.
This was before I got interested in cuisine. So all I remember was the biryani. I've tried to replaicate it since without success.
BTW I messed up. it's multiculturalism.
But the end of that tale is he left the club because he was racially abused. I tried to say "well just play me". But he was gone, deflated, angry. That's what racism does to humans.

If you were in my place, I'm sure you would have got along fine until he mentioned he was a Muslim. Then you'd invite him around for a fillet steak, start cracking Englishmen, Scotishmen and Irishmen jokes (which probably wouldn't even have offended him), and then see a cultural clash.

If you look really hard for something, you'll see it whether it's there or not. It's called conformation bias!

From my experience,
You can generally break Muslims down in to 2 groups.
The ones that go to prey, especially on Friday. Normally, Pakistani, Afghan. types
They won’t go anywhere near the stuff considered haram .
Anything related to, Betting, pork , alcohol(Pubs), Dress codes, etc.

The others, Normally from western leaning places, Turkey , Cyprus. Some love a gamble, will cook me my bacon for breakfast and have a drink at the end of the day.

It’s the first group that wants power, these lean more towards an Islamic state. Not as willing to in brace, British culture(Christmas), Standards (anti LGBT ) Law (they would like sharia law).

I've never met anyone from the first group but I guess the problem is, many people stereotype Muslims as all in the first group, avoid such people, thus, creating the problem that they think is already there.

Think it's about time I get back to trading.

rustled up by Sadiq Khan ( future Labour Leader ) and paid for by all of us via council taxes.
