But they won't accept them. And don't have to. And even supposing you could send them back from whence they came. They left for a reason, no?Michael5482 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2024 11:45 amYou need co-ordinated, organised protests in every town and every city. The problem is there's no one central organisation pushing the fundamental message it's all to fractured and possibly lost in the violence.ForFolksSake wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2024 10:57 amMichael5482 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2024 10:45 am
I'm not supporting their actions what I'm saying is jailing everyone left right and centre has further consequences, it won't work and is proven not to work and cannot understand laughing at it or daft slogans like "Help the Rioters" neither fundamentlty addresses anything.
I support the political message behind the protests which for me are long running manifestations of immigration legal and legal forced on everyone along with social inequality especially in the north and as I've said its no coincidence most of it's in the north.
The sad thing in all this is the catalyst was the murder of children who seem to have been forgotten. If we are not supporting/defending their actions we might as well give up and the Government has won.I'm not supporting their actions
The Government are totally to blame for this situation and be it on their heads
Yes the Governments are to blame Labour for allowing freedom of movement without the country's authority, the Tory's for not reversing it and indeed making it worse and now Starmer for calling everyone a far right racist while still not addressing the elephant in the room which is mass immigration.
Starmer can start to end all this now by sending everyone in hotels back to France or their native country and anyone coming here in a boat will be sent back to France.
Are we so uncivilised now that we won't weigh whether somone's claim for asylum is valid?
As I've said before I don't think France deports anyone other than criminals. They allow them to remain but they have no legal right to work or access to any services. They are thus thrust into an underworld of nasty people and are lucky if they find enough work/charity to sustain them. The alternative is the Channel and the UK or criminality. They are at the end of their tethers. They have very limited choices. I'm pretty certain a group of nutters outside is small beer compared to what they've experienced before.
