I'll give you some thoughts when I have some more time. But, as with a lot of trading, there isn't an easy answer.
Thanks Euler.

That would be great, cheers. I understand it's likely a combination of factors mentioned and more, I wouldn't like people to think I'm saying it isn't those things at all. I guess I'm finding it tricky to get the right combination of rules for entries on the different markets throughout the day that occur.

Still trying to wrap my head around it. :?:
Nobody on here is going to tell you how you should trade the markets. I'd be surprised if they did. It's a trial and error thing until you find you own methods.
I get that everyone's got their own journey in finding what works for them, but I don't think it's fair to say 'nobody' would offer guidance or insights (perhaps that's the case in this forum but in other trading forums it isn't).

It's often said that success in trading comes down to how well a person follows and executes a plan, rather than any specific trading strategy itself.

I didn't ask for a specific strategy or how to exactly trade the markets but lets say I did....

Sincerely do you think if someone shared a single method here, it would be completely cannibalised within a week/month or so?

Anybody else noticing the 2 minute resets are a little bit subdued?

Usually they have a smaller impact on bigger markets, but they're barely making a dent in the weak stuff today too

I could be imagining it but...They seems to be more subdued during the day when there is wild weather.
They seem to come back in the eve with vengeance.

Very noticeable lately. The main portion of moves seem to be happening much earlier in the day than before. This is the way things used to be - the 2 min scramble is a relatively recent thing.

Today’s been fun!
Battling my way through entry times. Feels like flash cards might be a good idea for certain set ups.
Managed to pull a bad day around without really noticing which is a good thing, I guess. Still, my entries on a couple of trades could be improved, stopping out on volatility to see it go my way shortly after. Bad framing likely, lack of truly knowing that set up…probably, specifics missing from a trade plan/day approach…Also likely.

I wonder though if little stop outs are ok in certain situations. Small loss, small loss then tank in on the momentum. Pay to find out (risk losing even when right) or wait for confirmation and then hit the pullback if there is one? Am I convicted enough to just hit it at market? Is tricky haha

Some great drifts today but despite York supposedly being a ‘favs graveyard’ (mentioned on fb this week) it seems York favs did get some minor backing (at least on my data and at least more backing than laying, and granted they're rangy so no major drift expected...but still). Found that interesting. Be good to see if there’s any truth in that fav’s graveyard thing over the years.

Anyway, some waffle there, good to get stuff off the chest though… Enjoying the learning process still after all this time but tired of seeing my wife’s eyes glaze over when I discuss pre off lol
Tomorrow day looks absolutely jam-packed haha
Good day all

P.s love how everyone has a name for the 2 min thing. Mines L8H (Late Hedge)

Epsom, far and away my worst performing in-play track. Can't put my finger on why. I just can't handle the distance of the straight.

It's been around a year at least hasn't it. Can you remember when it first started?

Race clash at 18:00. Kempton and Catterick.

I can imagine the in play stuff is properly fun. :D

Completely different realm to pre off by sounds of it. Hope you figure it out!

I'd guess 1-2 years ago.

Salisbury abandonned.

Haydock races 1 to 4 will be running 5 mins behind schedule. Race 5 will be 3 mins behind.

Why would the opening race at Haydock (group 3) have almost twice as much matched as the Group 1 sprint later on the card?

The opening race at Kempton also a group 3 has 31K matched while that opener at Haydock currently has over 200K matched

Is there anywhere to watch a live feed of overseas racing from France? Betfair doesn't seem to have the rights to it at the moment unless my live vid is playing up.
