Stop talking about McDonalds.
I can't drive or walk to one.
My nearest McDonalds is 8.9 miles away ... bit far for a sausage & egg breakfast roll!
McDonalds drive-in was an occasional treat after footy/squash after work. 8:30pm. Ravenous. Swimming with endorphins. Hit the spot for me.
Only better burger I've had was a Wendy's long long ago.

New set of coins out, worth £3.88 in total. You can buy a set for £34 plus £3.99 P&P. Not only that, but each coin has a little crown that the standard coins won't have - you'll be the envy of the nation!!

Do you want more CO2? I do know pylons used to buzz annoyingly and are a scar on the landscape. But think of the alternative.
And the people that are complaining are nimbys. Suck it up, plenty have had their skyline disrupted.

There is an alternative ... put them underground. They need to be in a water jacket to disperse the heat produced but that can be fed through to local homes and businesses as hot water and heating. More expensive, yes of course but so is the 'green' electricity we are expected to pay for. They did similar with the Pimlico set-up

The words gastro and food should never appear in the same sentence!

Should have ignored the nutjob protests and embraced nuclear power like France. Look at their energy prices now.

The issues with nuclear are :
1. what do you do with the waste, how competent is that disposal and how much does it cost
2. whats the cost in lives and money if something goes wrong ie chernobyl, three mile island, Fukushima, sellafield.

Apart from that nuclear fission is a brillliant source of energy. Fusion will change the world, but I won't be there.

France has 18 nuclear power stations with 56 reactors.

They bury and recycle nuclear waste at special locations. About 10% is recycled but that will rise to 25% over the next 5 years.

They don’t publish locations where it’s buried as people living near probably wouldn’t be best pleased.

I believe they are building another one close to Brie, so avoid that cheese at all costs. 😂
