Paddy Power shady practices

General chatter about that dark and cold world of only back betting.

Complain that you haven't received any assurances that your data is safe, while waiting to be processed.

worked for me a few months back
Not a bad idea Barney. They might have the GC in their pocket but unlikely to cut much ice with the ICO.

Another idea is to trade the profit away using counter bets on Betfair til my PP account gets back to zero at which stage my PP account will no doubt miraculously pass the KYC checks!

My son is 20, has a Paddy Power account, had it since he was 18 only has a footy acca and few racing bets on the big meetings only £5-£10 bets, he won £437 on a Lucky 15 at Ascot on Saturday went to withdraw £350 of it this morning and can't, he's been asked for proof of funds with bank statements etc as he's under 25 :?

He's told them they'll be getting no information and pay the money and close the account. Told him to report them to the Gambling Commission (not that it'll do much good but hopefully they'll pay)

I believe they can only hold balance for 8 weeks, unless they have specific reason to believe a potential AML breach.

Easiest way is to provide the documents.

Definitely DO NOT let him close the account unless you want to risk him not being allowed PP umbrella accounts in the future, including Betfair.

He's not bothered about the account or Paddy Power, just wants his winnings he just said I'm not giving them bank details for winning money don't do it if you win the lottery or his Mam wins the bingo, said he'll do what I do and just go to the betting shop when he wants a bet now.
