Hi everyone,
Is it possible to write a formula or script that places a lay bet at specific odds (which I define) and keeps it active until the match point in a tennis match?
The setup needs to integrate with live scores and work with the Betfair API. I’d really appreciate any advice or examples of how to achieve this.
Thanks for your help!
Laying the price untill match point in tennis.
Just use simple .baf file or servant automation and point your rules for define these odds which you wish.I think bet should be active till your pointed conditions ,cause tennis markets are not suspended during the game (as it's in football markets) and you don't need to 'keep' bets if you placed it in-play.lostdesper wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 1:55 pmHi everyone,

Thanks for your response. The problem is that defining the match ball is quite tricky because there are so many of them.
You can apply a 'Cancel Unmatched Bets (Price Dependant)' rule to 'ANY' selection and use several 'Tennis Fixed Score Conditions', one for each the possible match point scores, and place them in a Group which requires 'one or more to be true'lostdesper wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 4:51 pmThanks for your response. I've done the two possible match point scores for regular play (excluding mens Grand slams), but if you also wanted it to trigger in TB match points you can just add additional conditions within the group

If I select both players to place a lay bet, do I need to repeat the process twice, or is it enough to select both options and proceed?
Your solution makes sense, so I'll start testing it. If any issues arise, I'll ask for help again.
One more question:
Does Bet Angel recognize who is serving at any given moment using the live score from the Betfair API? Or does the live score only provide information about the set, game, and point scores?

You don't need one for each player, it's applied to 'ANY' selection, so whenever either player gets to match point it cancels any unmatched betslostdesper wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 11:28 amIf I select both players to place a lay bet, do I need to repeat the process twice, or is it enough to select both options and proceed?

There is a 'Tennis Serving Condition' you can to test if a player is serving or not - you'd want to put that condition outside the group so that must always be satisfied (along with one of the score conditions within the group)

Ok, thanks.
Last thing:
Is there a way to ensure that I don’t play matches that won’t have a livescore?
For example, when setting up a list of matches to play in the morning, I’m not always sure if all of them will have a livescore because sometimes Betfair doesn’t provide it. What should I do in such cases?
Is there any condition or method to check whether a match has a livescore beforehand?

I don't think so but if a livescore is not available (even if it should be) then and conditions that are dependent on that feed will fail which I suppose can be used as a test?lostdesper wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2024 7:56 am
