VAR should abide by the clear and obvious rule. When you take five minutes to make a decision, that's anything but clear and obvious.
I also think footy should introduce a challenge system similar to Tennis. That puts some emphasis on only referring things that are clear and obvious.

City looking like a load of headless chickens at the back inside 10 mins, they are mentally shot to bits Liverpool just need to pile it on and City will buckle.

If De Bruyne is fit enough to be on the bench but not starting you know where this is going. Then Grealish as last gasp sub. More and more looking like Pep wants out having secured a new contract. Have we ever seen such a rapid decline? Forget results, I'm talking about effort, passion, alertness. City are looking like a League 1 team right now. Astonishing.Euler wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 6:44 pmCity have completely lost their confidence.Michael5482 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 4:09 pmCity looking like a load of headless chickens at the back inside 10 mins, they are mentally shot to bits Liverpool just need to pile it on and City will buckle.
I see some similarities with Liverpool when Fabinho's legs have suddenly gone and form fell off a cliff, same vital DM position (nicknamed internally "the lighthouse"). Team was low on confidence as a result and the season was pretty much derailed.Euler wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 6:44 pmCity have completely lost their confidence.Michael5482 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 4:09 pmCity looking like a load of headless chickens at the back inside 10 mins, they are mentally shot to bits Liverpool just need to pile it on and City will buckle.
I think the worse it gets for City the more credit should go to Rodri, goes to show how good he was for them, fully justifying his Ballon d'Or win over the entitled manchild that is Vinicious Jr. Like I said the moment he got injured I'd rather lose Haaland as goals would be easier to replace than the massive loss of control, didn't think that was a hot take since they already did well playing strikerless before he joined.
But one team that seems to be flying under the radar atm is Aston Villa, their abysmal form is overshadowed by City. As for Liverpool, a fair chunk of credit this season still goes to Klopp.
Not sure. Probably? Some of Liverpool's dips in form were similarly shocking at times, as high as the peaks were there were some mind-boggling lower lows as well!
Which can happen when you're loyal to a fault and run your squad into the ground. That's one major difference I see with Arne thus far, he's absolutely ruthless with his players and calls them out on every detail.
What impressed me was how he changed their risk/reward mindset when taking on longer passes and such. But it's very interesting to see the team approach matches more in a controlling manner and with more ball composure overall, only going up a gear when required, which is usually in the 2nd half as the data would point out as well.
Also, nice of Arne to acknowledge and appreciate the memes that fans thought of, he talked about this one in his last presser and I think a lot of us will be wearing these shirts and sweaters this holiday season

TAA still a conundrum. Terrilbe defending, but how many in the world can sky a pass on to the toe of an attacker?Kai wrote: ↑Mon Dec 02, 2024 10:22 amNot sure. Probably? Currently looking at the prices for tomorrows matches.
Liverpool look a generous price at Newcastle. Not sure Arsenal should be so short against Man Utd, it is Arsenal after all. Villa look nervous goal shy and vulnerable against Brentford
Now watch me fall flat on my face!

Some one has just literally put 3 to 4 figure bets simultaneously on just about every price on the ladder for the 3.5 goal market in the Leicester v West Ham game
Must be some method in the madness

Using 5 of Paul Steele's system predictors, and one other, they "might" nick a draw.
