DIdnt know where to post this.

Sorry this failed - I did think Rory was gifted, thou never invested any money.

Its not easy.

I think it must be near impossible for one person to make a return on so much money in the betting markets. Either enough opportunities don't exist and/or opportunities cannot cope with such liquidity. It's not the same as a few people trading largish sums (to them) nor is it the same as a stock market. I would never give my hard earned to such a venture.
In the Asian markets there might be.
You may well be right but anyone who gives their money to someone to place it in the unregulated Asian markets deserves to lose it and I can think of no more deserving person than Alistair Campbell!

Getting back to football ... watched Brentford v Arsenal last night with thanks to Fubo and a VPN based in Canada. Ah the wonders of VPN, who needs a plane and passport? :D

Great read
Football 'eritage innit

Two equally capable managers probably but whatever they inherit matters most in the short term, while the long term may never even come for some?

Funny enough would have preferred Amorim over Slot at LFC in the summer but not sure how it would fit anymore, think I had some bets on him too, tbf I was seduced by the idea of a brand new playstyle mostly because of armchair tacticians on YT

The chasm between teams has never been greater from my memory, maybe during Hodgson era, but can't remember a worse run of results for Utd in recent weeks

Hard to see it but imo a big opportunity for Utd to completely reset the vibes and reverse the trend, not much to lose at this point

I'vr been expecting Utd to re-emerge for yonks now. Today could be the day that happens. The mood seems to be LFC are going to spank 'em. I think there is some truth in Amorim's system being wholly unsuited to the current (and for a long time) personnel. They don't do high-tempo, thats beneath them, its for no-mark teams, no-mark players on piddling contracts.
Quite what Fergie has made of Utd since he left is a conversation I would love to have.
I don't detect any interference from Fergie. That's amazing. The temptation to intervene must have been huge.

At their lowest point in the last 4 years.

On twitter/X, there are cries of "bring back Ten Haag". Looking at the graph, they should saying, "bring back Ole Gunnar"!

Who is to blame now for Utd's demise. Ineos? The Glazers? I think not. It's the players. What a total shower.

Man U on shakey ground, soon as Liverpool get one they'll fold like a deckchair.
