More trouble for Labour former Defence Minister Ivor Caplin has been snared by a peadophile hunter and arrested for allegedly trying to meet a 15 year old boy. He was previously suspended form the Labour Party I wonder what for?

Socialism is a completely flawed outdated ideology, it's not compatible with today's society. Make no mistake about Reeves will be coming back for more to fund Labours "fully costed plan".
Socialism needs confining to the history books at least with capitalism the economy has a chance.

So despite being baffled by your emoticon blitz (i don't get emoticons unless I can cursor over them to understand what they mean). what is the alternative to the two cheeks of the same arse?ForFolksSake wrote: βFri Jan 24, 2025 7:53 pm

Is there no end to the fuel being fed to this thread by Labour? It seems there are a flood of 'excuses' every week. The question is will they oversee more mis-management in 14 months than they claim the Conservatives did in 14 years ... maybe they have already done so! Are people who voted Labour satisfied with their performance so far?
Not really. But "14 years" will remain. Just look at UK GDP over the Tories tenure, look at the queues of ambulances outside hospitals. I really do wish we could all debate the issues without bias but see above to realise you are fighting a losing battle. Then it becomes a polarised discussion were people won't give an inch. ATM the rise of the far right scares the crap out of me because most of their supporters can't express what they supporting.firlandsfarm wrote: βSat Jan 25, 2025 5:37 amIs there no end to the fuel being fed to this thread by Labour? In economical terms all the three above are capitalists. Musk & Farage are pro immigration as long as it is controlled and they are highly skilled so can't call them neo-fascist, I'm unsure on Trump in relation to skilled migration, I know his stance on illegal, unskilled, criminal migration.ForFolksSake wrote: βSat Jan 25, 2025 2:01 amNeo-fascism (Trump, Musk, Farage )

Not really, my 'losing battle' is no more losing than yours. The latest is unemployment up, cost of borrowing by the Government is at long term record high, 'the wealthy' are where they can taking their wealth and businesses with them, pensioners are robbed to pay train drivers, WASPI women were lied to, illegal immigration is up, no immigration gangs have been smashed ... the list goes on and on and it's only been 6 months! Which 6 months with the Conservative Government had more bad issues than that?greenmark wrote: βSat Jan 25, 2025 8:09 amNot really. But "14 years" will remain. And it's the rise of the right ... there is nothing 'far' about it unless you redefine "far" in politics in which case Starmer is far Left and that scares the crap out of me. In addition to being 'far' Left' I'm concerned he and his cronies don't seem to have any idea what they are doing but more concerned they can't foresee the consequences of their actions. It's like they are governing in a fog.
The 'far' bandwagon was launched by the Luvvies, the media found it good to take a ride on it and Starmer jumped on board for political gain. Your fear may be fuelled by the lies the anti-right direct at the Right ... remember the exchange we had re Farage where you were either mis-quoting him or choosing to misinterpret him! I'm sorry if those stories scare the crap out of the Luvvies but they are of the Luvvies' own making.

Who the heck are the "Luvvies"? Always been confused by that...firlandsfarm wrote: βSat Jan 25, 2025 9:59 amI'm sorry if those stories scare the crap out of the Luvvies but they are of the Luvvies' own making.
ChatGPT says:
"It is considered to be a derogatory term and is often used to dismiss or belittle the views of those who are seen as being too liberal"
Was it not your own fair self that pulled someone up for using demeaning terms?
But to answer your original question... Labour, in my view, still seem to be the "least worst option".
(not great I know)
